Avi's P.O.V

"Morning Sunshine!" Catherine said as she took my hand into her smaller ones. I smiled.
"Good morning, Catherine." I said. I replayed the events of last night in my head. I looked over on my bed side table and saw two gum wrapper swans. I grinned. Could Matt be anymore sweet?
"Ooh HUN! You're blushing hardcore. What's up?" Katelyn said as she sat down on her bed. They were both in their PJs and I was in my clothes from last night. I closed my eyes and sighed.
"Nothing." I said, pushing myself up and swinging my long legs over the edge of the bed. As soon as my left foot hit the ground, I cried out in pain. Catherine jumped.
"Ouch ouch." I said grabbing my ankle. I felt around it as the girl's endless questions flooded the room. It wasn't twisted or broken, it was probably just a bit sore.
"I'm fine. Just a little sore from yesterday." I explained. Catherine and Katelyn looked at each other and smiled.
"I bet Matt pounded you real good." Katelyn winked.
"Oh my God Katelyn. I fell yesterday and he carried me here and put ice on my foot. That's it." I said laughing. Catherine was dying. She hugged her body tight as she laughed.
"Can you get up?" They asked. I nodded. I was pretty sure I could get up.
I pushed myself up and tried to balance my weight on my right foot. I limped my way to my closet and pulled out a black tank top, a pair of shorts.
...
I was walking normally by the time my hair was washed and I was fully dressed and eating breakfast. Everyone was dressed and it was a Saturday and it was time to go exploring.
Alma was back with us and she was walking awkwardly and so was Catherine.
"So Catherine, what did happen in that photo booth?" Katelyn asked as she braided her hair. Catherine blushed.
"Let's just say two words. No layers." She said lifting her eyebrows. Alma, Katelyn, and I erupted into a chorus of ooohs. Catherine rolled her eyes and continued straightening her hair.
My phone started to ring. Catherine was singing along and sighed when I answered it.
"Yellow"
"Hey Avi, it's Matt." I nearly dropped my phone.
"Oh, uh, hey haha. What's up?" I said as casually as I could. He chuckled.
"Nothing really, how's your ankle?" Whoa, he cared?
"It's not fractured or twisted. It's just sore. I'm walking normally though." I ran my fingers through my hair.
"Well that's pretty amazing. Uh I wanted to ask you something. It's about the door in the school and shit. Do you want to go right now?" He asked. I could hear the anxiety in his voice. I squeezed the sonic screwdriver in my cardigan.
"Yeah, allonsy." I whispered excitedly.
"I'll be there in five." He said, laughing. I hung up, my metal mouth was in a wide grin. I jumped around looking for for shoes. I decided to wear TOMS because I hadn't worn them in a long time.
Then there was a knock at the dorm's door.
Catherine had finished straightening her hair so she went to the door and opened it.
"Hey! You're- uhm- Matt! Are you here to see Avi?" She asked. He nodded and winked at me. I smiled and grabbed my pennyboard. They all looked at us.
"Such a cute couple." Catherine whispered. I acted like I didn't hear.
I shut the door behind me and looked up at Matt. He smiled.
"You know, you look better this way."
"What do you mean?" I said grabbing the handrail as I walked down the steps. He chuckled running fingers through his hair.
"No make up, Impossible Girl. Uhm you look better without it." he mumbled. I felt myself blushing. He was wearing a button up and suspenders with a bow tie.
"I love your bow ties. They're cool." I said poking at his side. He smiled at me and for the first time ever, I saw he had dimples. I decided not to mention it.
"So what does Allonsy mean?" he asked. I looked at my pennyboard for a long time.
"It means let's go in French. My mom and my dad used to say it all the time." I said. He nodded.
"That's pretty awesome. My dad says it a lot." Matt said.
"Hmm interesting."
...
There were a lot of people inside of the school even though it was a Saturday morning. Matt told me that it was all the Student council sign-ups. I nodded.
We made our way to the blank wall. I pulled the sonic screwdriver out of my pocket.
"Okay Pretty Boy Smith, what you are going to do is you are going to tell me when no one is watching so I can sonic the door." I said. He nodded and shielded me.
"Coast is clear."
"Okie dokie." I said and turned on the sonic screwdriver. It made it's own silly sound. I scanned the wall with it. There high readings of abnormal creatures behind the wall. I shrugged it off.
I shot the sonic ray at the door handle. It opened instantly.
"Hahah yes! We did it Matt!" I whispered excitedly. He whipped around and gave me a high-five. I could see the mixture of fear and excitement on his face. I grabbed his hand in mine and our fingers interlocked almost naturally. He smiled down at me.
"Ready, doll face?" He said winking. I wrinkled my nose.
"I was born ready, Pretty Boy." I said looking into his green eyes. I pushed open the door and nearly had a heart attack.
The stories were true; they were real.
