Avi's P.O.V

I took a seat at the desk Mr. Tennant showed me to and took out my notebook. I looked around for my pencil pouch. Then I remembered I had left it in my locker. I groaned internally and rolled my eyes. The room was filling up quite a bit. More bodies stealing oxygen. Maybe these people would be a bit nicer than the ones in the halls. I was naive to think so but hey, a spark of hope right?
I looked in the inside pocket of my jacket for my emergency Chapstick. It wasn't there. I nearly had a meltdown. How could've it fallen out? Where could've it fallen out. It didn't matter, I guess. There was one thing I couldn't stop thinking of. That boy.
He was leaning against the wall while I flipped off those stupid blondes. Like what are you, camels?
He was tall and slim. He wore black jeans and suspenders hanging down instead of on his shoulders. He had one of those noses that you didn't know if it looked good or not. His hair was SOO fab. *mentally rolls eyes* but it actually looked fabulous. He wore a button down buttoned all the way but here's the thing. He was wearing a bow tie. A red bow tie. Don't get me wrong bow ties are cool. He smiled at me for just a second and I turned away. I'm such a dum---
Wait is that him? The one that just walked in? Cheese and sprinkles, that's him! Holy crap. His boots were really nice. Damn this kid could dress himself.
He walked up to Mr. Tennant and shook hands and Mr. Tennant beamed. Mr. Tennant glanced slightly in my directions and pulled the kid close to him. He whispered something and the kid nodded.
He looked in my direction and started walking towards me. He smiled and you'll never believe what I saw. His teeth were perfect. Like they were perf-ect!
He sat down in the seat in front of me. He smelled nice; like cranberries. I know that might sound stalkerish but the seats were pushed together really close. He turned around and our eyes met. His were were a mixture of blue and greens, almost a grey. They seemed like the eyes of an all knowing person. They seemed different. I smiled.
He grinned a crooked smile. Then he spoke.
"Hi! Uhm I-I think you dropped your Chapstick when you rolled away on your fantastic looking penny board. I picked up because I felt like I would see you again." He said. His voice was just above a whisper in a noisy room but I could here his every word crisp and clear. What the hell?
"Hey. Thanks for picking it up for me. Errr, your eyes are really nice." I said as I took the Chapstick from his hands. They touched my hand for one second. I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body and an image popped into my head. It was very unclear. Just blurs and outlines. Colourful ones. Somehow I felt like I knew him. Nahh. That can't be possible.
"Hehe. Thanks. Well, uhh this is awkward... I mean, you're not awkward. I'm awkward. You're gorgeous. Wait what?" He said blushing. I giggled.
"Don't worry about it. I'm Avi. Not O-B-V-I but A-V-I." I held out my hand. He smiled.
"I'm Matt. I must look silly with a bow tie bu---"
"No, bow ties are cool." I said. He laughed and took my hand in his. Suddenly my vision blurred. Pictures flashed through my mind. Pictures of stories my nan used to tell me. Frightening things crossed my vision. Pieces of sentences that I had never heard, the stars disappearing. What the hell?
