Ch. 4: Curiosity (Wayo Pov)

Wayo POV

I wonder what was wrong with Ming? During our conversations with P'Forth, he seemed really tense. Is there something going on between those two? I was really confused. Well, whatever is happening I'll get to the bottom of it.

Right now I gotta focus on school work. All this is so tiring! It's my first day and I am already bombarded by homework. I just wanna sleep all day.

*sigh*

I wanted to scream out but I am at the library. I sit there and notice someone took the seat across from me. Looking up from my work I freeze. It's Pha! What is he doing here?! He doesn't notice me he's just sitting there looking at papers.

I need to get outta here fast! I stand up calmly but then all of a sudden he grabs my wrist.

"Sorry excuse me but do you mind if I borrow a pen?" He asks me

I nod a yes to him. I don't dare to look at him because I am not sure if he would remember me and I don't want him to. I scramble to get a pen out of my bag and hand it to him.

"Thanks!" He says

After a few minutes of looking and writing at papers, he hands me my pen back.

"Are you afraid of me?" He questions.

I shake my head signaling a no.

"Then why don't you speak? Do you not have a mouth?" He says with a hint of anger in his voice.

I was taken back by his words and decide to walk away. He seemed to follow. Now I was really worried. Was he going to trample me? Right as I left the door I booked it. But to no surprise of my own, he had caught up to me.

He looks at me with curious eyes and brings his face close to mine. I felt his breath across my face. My face must've been red hot from our current position.

"So what's wrong? Why do you run?"

I stood there speechless. I didn't know what to say. I could only back up. As I took one step backward he took one forward. As I did so I eventually hit the railing his face still inches away from mine.

"W-why are you doing t-this?" I ask

"Finally he speaks!" He praises.

"I was just curious why you didn't say anything. Did I upset you?" He asked

As I was about to answer a hand pulls me away.

"Yes, you very much did! Now stay away from my Yo." A voice goes

It was Ming he had an arm wrapped around me pulling me close. My only instinctive reaction was to hug him back. His grasp seemed to lighten up.

"I was just curious about why he ran? I want to know what I did wrong." Pha ask.

"Everything. Now stay away from him." Ming says in an irritated tone.

He turns us around and we start walking away. I was scared I didn't wanna go through it again. I had enough courage to release from Ming's grasp to walk on my own.

We walked back towards his car when a motorcycle pulls up. It was Forth he was pulling up. He looked in our direction and waved. He got up from his bike and came over to us.

"Hey, Nongs! How are you too?" He asked.

"We're fine Forth," I say

"You guys wanna join me for lunch? I'm headed to the sushi place not too far from here."

"Ooooh! Sushi! I love sushi!" I cheered jumping up and down.

Both Ming and Forth could only smile and laugh at my child like demeanor.
