Ch.8 Breakdown (Kit Pov)

I can't believe I just told that to him. I'm not mad at him how could I ever be? I like him and what he did was out of frustration. It saddens me that he wasn't phased by my advances and didn't tell I was making moved on him nor would he tell me his "best friend" about his crush on Forth.

*sigh*

Now's not the time to think about this. Right now we need to focus on our Nongs.

I head on over to Pha and Forth where they are both just pacing around. I would call them both idiots for doing so if it were anything else but I can't blame them for doing that.

"Any news on either of them yet?" I asked

Both of them just look at me and say "No" in unison.

"Ming Kwan!" a nurse call out.

We all rush to her in hopes of hearing some good news out of all of this.

"How's he doing?" We all asked

"He's doing fine. The wound wasn't fatal and we were able to stitch him back up. He won't be walking for a few days but should be better in a few weeks or so. He's awake so you can go and visit him now." She explains to us.

"Where were you?" Pha asked

I turned around and hadn't noticed that Beam walked up to us.

"Needed some air..." he said, "so any updates?"

The awkwardness between him and I makes the air around us feel tense. Until Forth breaks the silence.

"Nong Ming is fine. He's doing well and we can go and see him." Forth tells Beam

"What a relief. He had lost a lot of blood but knowing he's in a stable condition puts us at ease." Beam says

"What about Yo?" He asks

We shake our heads no to show him that there is nothing about him right now.

"Is there any information you can give us Ma'am about Wayo? The younger patient that came in around the same time as Ming." Pha ask

"Well, as far as I know, he's still in emergency operations. But that is all I can give you since we haven't been notified about his condition yet." the nurse explains.

Both Pha and Forth look down in disappointment.

"Cmon you two. Don't give up hope. You need to believe in Yo! He's a strong kid and you two know that. Let's go see Ming I'm sure he would like to know too. Nurse, may you come to get us if there is any news about Yo's condition?" I say trying to keep the two from sulking.

"Of course! You boys go on ahead and I'll get you if something comes up. Ming Kwan's room is on the fifth-floor room 510" The nurse says

"Okay let us all go now," I say walking up behind all three of them and ushering them towards the elevator.

"Thank you, Auntie!" We all say waving at her.

We headed into the elevator and up to the fifth floor. When we got up there we walked down the hall passing rooms filled with patients until we came across Ming's room. He was lucky as he was alone in his room. Usually, there are two patients to a room. We walked in and he waved at us wincing at pain for moving his arm.

"Idiot." Forth scolded.

"Awww P why so mean?" he pouted

"Because you're an idiot for moving but we're glad you're okay." Beam said

"Where's Yo?" Ming asked

The aura in the room dropped to one of worry and depression. No one had the courage to speak up.

"Where's Yo?!" Ming asked again raising his voice not caring about the pain it caused him.

I finally mustered up the courage to answer him "He got into an accident Ming and he's in emergency surgery right now..."

"WHAT?!" He yelled

"Calm down Ming or you're just going to open up your wounds again," Pha said.

His words only added fuel to the fire.

"Calm down? Calm down?! CALM DOWN?! HOW CAN I CALM DOWN WHEN MY FRIEND THE PERSON I LOVE IS ON THE VERGE OF DEATH?!" Ming screamed.

Tears were rolling down from his eyes. He tore off his IVs and tried to get off but Forth and Pha quickly held him down.

"Call someone over to sedate him!" Pha says

Beam wad already on it as he was already at the door calling for a nurse.

"Yo! YO! YOOO! LET GO OF ME! I NEED TO SEE YO!!!" Ming cries while tears stream from his face.

He kept repeating it over and over. Showing a scene so grim that it felt like a horror movie more than real life.

"What's going on here!" the Nurse asks in surprise.

"Sedate him or else he'll hurt someone or himself. We'll explain right after Ma'am." I say

She nods as she quickly runs to a nearby cabinet pulling out a small cartridge filled with a liquid with what I assumed to be sedative. She pulls out a syringe from a drawer as well and stabs the top of the cartridge with the needle and pulls back on the syringe to get some of the liquid.

"Okay keep him still." she says

Forth and Pha we're struggling to hold him down but were strong enough to keep him from moving as the nurse quickly injects Ming with the fast acting sedative.

"L-let m-meee see my Yoooo......... p-please........." he says his words getting softer as the drug takes its toll.

As he finally stops struggling and goes into a deep slumber the nurse reinserts his IVs.

That was a disturbing scene that played before us and I know no one wanted to talk about it as we kept quiet.

"May I ask what exactly happened in here?" the Nurse asked.

It irritated me but I know she was only asking for the safety of the patient aka Ming as she did not know what had taken place.
