Forth POV
As much as I just wanted to bring Yo along I knew that wasn't going to happen. I could see that Ming was very possessive of him. Yo was too pure and innocent for his own good to realize how enamored we both are for him. I just hope I can win his heart. Something about Yo is pulling me to him. It's like he's a magnet.
We walked from the library to the sushi restaurant. We didn't really chat much because of the awkward tension between Ming and I. Yo was just happily skipping along between us.
Once we arrived we headed in and we were brought to a booth. I sat on the left while Ming sat on the right. Yo didn't sit down. We looked at him questioningly.
"I dunno who to sit next to?" He said
"Hmmm. I'll sit with Forth!" He cheered happily
God damn, why are you so cute Yo?
"I finally get to sit next to my Nong," I say goofily wrapping my arm around his shoulder.
I looked over at Ming and he seemed to let out a forced smile. I smirked at his jealousy.
The waiter finally comes over but doesn't say anything. I look at him and he was staring directly at Yo. At that moment both Ming and I slammed our fist on the table to get his attention. He seemed to be snapped to his sense as he asks us what we'd like to order. I didn't have to look at Ming to tell that he was glaring at the man because I was too. We finally order our food.
"What's wrong with you guys?" Yo asked curiously.
"What do you mean Yo?" Ming replies.
"You both slammed your fist on the table at the same time. What was that about?" He questions again.
"Oh uhm that's an engineering thing we do at our faculty," I say.
Yo makes an Oh I see kind of face. Ugh, this boy is again too innocent and too oblivious for his own good.
"What's it supposed to mean?" He questions.
"To uhm assert our dominance. The louder the better." I answer.
He seems to get it and doesn't question us any further. Phew, I dunno how much more I could keep that up before it got too outrageous.
Our food finally gets to our table this time brought by a waitress who seemed to be eyeballing Ming and I. Better us than my little Yo.
*Sigh*
I wish it were just me and Yo and then I can finally get to know more about him without his guard dog near. I seemed like my prayers have been answered as Ming's phone rings.
"Hello?" Ming says to the person on the other end of the line.
"Yeah Yeah Yeah. I'm coming. Ugh." He says frustratingly
"Sorry Yo I gotta go. We have a project to do and my group wants me to come and do it already."
"It's okay Ming. We'll hang again some other time." Yo says.
"Okay. Gotta go. Take care of him Forth." He says begrudgingly Yo not paying any mind as he chows down on his food.
Ming places his money down on the table and ruffles Yo's hair. We wave him a goodbye and now Yo and I are left alone.
Now, this can truly be a date! Thank you, gods, for this blessed moment!
"So Yoooo. Are you and Ming together?" I ask
Yo chokes on his food I pat his back and he coughs clearing his throat.
"Don't surprise me with questions like that!" He scolded.
"Sorry! Sorry!" I apologize
"No, we aren't. But I'm not sure how I feel about Ming. He and I have been super close since high school. We did everything together and I mean everything. We even took a bath together naked. I know it sounds childish but I insisted and Ming agreed right away." He said not caring what information he hands out.
I just stare blinking at him.
I think my nose is bleeding. Thinking about Yo being naked is too much for me. He's the cutest thing ever. I pull him closer to me.
"Sooo if you're single Yo what if someone asked you out? Would you accept it?" I jokingly said.
He didn't give it a second thought as he said "of course! I want to give everyone a chance. Although I'd need to get to know them first before I date them."
He's pretty blunt and straight to the point.
"Ah, I see," I reply.
"May I ask you something else Yo?"
"What is it?"
"Why are you scared of Phana?"
He tensed up at my words.
"W-what do you m-mean?" He says nervously.
"I'm just curious because I saw how afraid you looked. But if it's a private matter then I won't prod any further."
He calms down.
"Thanks Forth. I prefer not to answer that. At least not now." He says giving me a goofy smile.
"Yo you're adorable you know that?"
"Stahp Forth. I'm a boy!" he scolds.
"You're a cute boy," I say winking at him.
He blushes at my comment. Damn you're too adorable Yo.
I unravel my arm from his shoulder and place my hands on the table. He noticed my band.
"Forth where did you get that?" He asked
"Oh, this? I got this a while ago." I answer.
He seemed to tense up at.
"May I see it?" He asks
I was hesitant at first but I reluctantly took it off and handed it to him. He looked on the inside and he gasped.
"What's wrong?" I asked curiously.
"Uhm I uhm gotta go now Forth. Here's the money for the food." He said as he got up and put money on the table.
"Yo, what's up?" I asked again.
He didn't reply and just darted out the restaurant door.
What the heck was that about?
I grabbed the band and looked inside it. It had "Phana" carved right into it.
What the heck? What does he know and how did he know? I gotta get to the bottom of this.
I got up to pay for the food. I wanted to try and catch up to Yo as fast as I could but the waiter was taking long to bring me my change. I ran out of the door and Yo was gone.
"Damn it!" I yelled.
I ran back to the library to get my bike.
