Ch. 9 Tears(Pha & Ming Pov)

Phana POV

I felt bad for this guy. His pain and love for his best friend was heart-wrenching as within a matter of mere seconds he turned from a normal guy to an outraged bull. His screams had haunted us leaving us worse off than before.

"It's scary what love can do to a person," I say.

"Let's just hope the next time he wakes up he doesn't go crazy again." Kit says.

We all sat in the room after explaining to the nurse what had happened. We chatted amongst ourselves wondering what to do now when a knock resounding from the door.

"Come in." Forth says.

The door opens and it's the women from before who told us about Ming.

"Hey boys." She says "I have an update about your other friend Wayo."

We all stood up as she said his name.

"How is he?" Beam says.

"Where is he?" Forth ask.

"Calm down boys and let me explain please." She says

"Sorry Miss we're just extremely worried," I say

"I imagine so. Now about your friend. He's in a stable state. He suffered from a few broken ribs, an arm, and a major head injury that caused a lot of internal bleeding. They were able to save him." She explains.

"Thank goodness he's alright. Has he woken up yet?" Kit asks.

"That's the thing boys." she says "He hasn't woken up yet because he's in a deep coma. What's even weirder it feels like his body isn't trying to fight especially during the surgery. He was lucky to have made it but without him fighting for his life he may never wake up."

We all looked at her in shock. Was something like that even possible? How do we tell everyone, his parents, and Ming? All these questions were running through my head.

"Can we see him?" Beam asked.

"Not yet boys. He just got out but I did you all a favor and requested he be moved into this room as this boy's roommate." She replies.

"How were you able to do so Miss?" Kit asked curiously.

I never thought about questioning it because I was too caught up today to really focus but now I am actually curious.

"Ohoho boys I would love to tell you but I would rather leave you in wonder for you to find out." She says

"Thanks, Ma'am." We all say in unison.

"No problem boys. Goodbye." She says as she leaves.

"So I guess we wait till Yo is brought in here?" Kit says.

We all nod as a reply to his question.

Ming Pov

"Ugh.... my head hurts. What happened?" I say

Then I suddenly remembered.

"Yo!" I scream out.

I sat up looking around me and saw everyone staring at me. I just slumped back into the bed.

"Yo.," I whisper out softly.

"He's fine Ming. He's alright. However..." Kit says saying something inaudible at the last part.

"What's wrong?" I ask

"He's in a coma Ming. He hasn't woken up nor do they know when or if he will." Kit explains.

Yo, my precious Yo is asleep and may never wake up. Tears start to come out and fall down the sides of my face.

"Can you guys let me be alone?" I ask softly.

"Oh, uhm sure Nong. But there's one more thing." Forth says.

"What?" I ask.

"Yo is also being brought to this room but we don't know when," he says.

I was happy but sad I don't know if I could handle seeing him in that state.

"Okay." Is all I could muster up to say.

So they left the room and let me be alone as I cried my eyes out.
