Jennie texted Lisa later that night, telling her what a nice date she had and how happy she was. However, Lisa replied saying:

Sorry I just replied, Naeun came and we've been doing homework :)
I had a great time too
And you still have to take me on two dates Jennie :P

Jennie knew she was getting unhealthily attached. For God's sake, as soon as Lisa's name appeared on her screen, she jumped from her bed to her counter to take the phone.

They ended up texting each other back and forth the whole night, easily getting into a conversation about school. At around midnight, Jennie insisted the younger girl rest and that's what she did. Jennie couldn't wait to meet her the next day.

--

She patiently waited for Lisa as she scooped her cereal and put it inside her mouth. It was Monday and Lisa had practice, Jennie was excited to see her favorite girl running around the field again. Yes, she was disgustingly sweaty and her hair was tied up high in a ponytail, but Jennie still saw sporty Lisa as the hottest one of all Lisa versions. (Even though let's be real, Lisa looks good in everything.)

"Morning Jen.." Lisa greeted, kissing her cheeks as she sat beside Jennie to eat a banana. Jennie didn't think Lisa knew what effect she had on her. Jennie was trying so hard to contain her smile but failed ultimately. She showed Lisa a teethy grin and nodded as a greeting, unable to form a sentence.

Lisa giggled at how cute Jennie was but then focused on finishing her banana. Not another bit of cereal entered Jennie's mouth, she was too busy staring at the beautiful girl beside her, munching on her banana. She never felt this, whatever this was. She never knew what it was like to be so into someone that even the sight of them eating a banana made her heart skip a beat.

"So... are you guys, friends?" Aileen entered the kitchen, making Jennie panic, almost falling from her bar stool.

"Uh, yeah?" Lisa replied, a bit confused on the sudden inquiry.

"I have a lot of friends, I don't kiss them." Aileen countered, hiding a smirk.

This question took Lisa by surprise and she stared down at her half eaten banana. Jennie was looking at her, silently questioning her whether or not Jennie should answer it. When Lisa looked back at Jennie, and saw how her already pale face was getting whiter, Lisa decided to take the fall.

"We are um- friends, but we um-"

"I like her and I guess I'm on my way to winning her heart?" Jennie continued, rushing her words.

"You like like her?" Aileen made sure she was hearing this correctly. Although Lisa had only brought her home recently, Aileen had heard  many stuff about Jennie from her mom. She liked Jennie, she really did but this was all confusing to her. Jennie was known to be that girl in school that could get anyone she wanted and from what Aileen heard, she always had an eye for popular preps and cheerleaders so why was she chasing after her outcast daughter.

"Uh, yes. Your daughter's um-" Jennie paused to look at Lisa, who was grinning, ready for her answer, however, Jennie was flustered and at a loss of words.

"Intriguing I believe was the word you used." Lisa finished, still grinning mockingly at her.

"Yeah- she's very intriguing. Very different. In a good way I mean- she's great. Yeah, you're awesome Lisa." Jennie gave Lisa a lame thumbs up, making Lisa laugh out loud. Aileen watched the interaction between the pair, she was always the best at reading people. She could see the nervousness plastered on Jennie's face. It was weird to see someone so confident lose her confidence because of one person. She felt proud that her daughter was the one who did it.
