  Chapter Twelve - Ultrasound

   "Are you nervous?" Kathy asked.

   "A little." I sighed. "I just can't believe I'm pregnant."

"It's a blessing." Tina said. "Jeremiah is so happy."

We were on the way to the doctor's office. Jeremiah had an important business meeting, so he couldn't come. He had Mr. Tommy to drive us. There's security guards in a SUV behind us, and one in front of us. Jeremiah says it's to keep me safe. Wherever I go, they're right there. I hate it.

We pulled up in the parking lot of the doctor's office.  As soon as we got out, the guards were on us, like white on rice. There were four in all.

We walked in and Kathy signed me in. My name was called in no time. Kathy and Tina went in with me.

"Hello Ms Johnson, how are you today?" Dr Sullivan asked.

"I'm fine. How are you?" I smiled.

"I'm good. You're here for an ultrasound right?"

I nodded. Kathy and Dr Sullivan kept eyeballing each other and smiling. That looked very suspicious.

  "Lay back for me ma'am."

I laid back. He lifted up my shirt. He placed cold jelly on my stomach and felt around. "Lean up for me. Something don't seem  right."

   I leaned back up.

Dr Sullivan rubbed the monitor around my stomach. "Hold up...wait a minute."

  "Is something wrong?" I panicked.

"Does twins run in your family?" he asked.

"Yes." Kathy said. "On my mom's side."

"Well, congratulations. You are pregnant with Twins."

  I smiled. "Really?"

  He nodded.

"Kathy , we got two on the way. That way we can split em up, and swap." Tina said.

  "We sure can."

They done took my babies already.

"Well, both of your babies seem to be healthy. Your next appointment is in two weeks. And Ms Kathy, may I see you in my office?"

"Yes sir." Kathy winked at us and walked out behind Dr Sullivan.

"Am I the only one who thinks they got something going on?" Tina asked.

"They definitely got something goin on." I laughed. "You ready?"

"Yes." Tina helped me off of the table.

We walked back to the front. The guards led us to the car.

"Tommy, we're waiting for my mother." I told him.

  He nodded.

My phone vibrated in my purse. Jeremiah was calling me on face time. I answered and turned it on front camera.

  "Heyyy." I smiled at Jeremiah.

"Girl who got you smiling so much?" Jeremiah asked.

I smirked. "A very handsome guy by the name of Jeremiah Tyluea Luela."

"You know I don't like my middle name. What did the doctor say?"
