Epilogue
Five Years Later
"My baby look so handsome." I kissed Justin's cheek.
"You think the girls will like me momma?" his voice was too cute. My son grew up to be a handsome five year old. Him and Kristin look just like Jeremiah with their gray eyes and curly hair.
"Of course they will. Remember to treat the girls nice. Hold the door open for them and tell them they're pretty." I tucked his white, button down shirt in. He looked nice in his navy blue pants and black Jordan's.
Jeremiah and Kristin walked downstairs.
"Momma, daddy didn't do my hair right." Kristin pouted. She crossed her arms over her chest.
"Baby , do you call this doing hair?" I laughed at Jeremiah. Kristin's hair was all over the place.
"I tried." he shrugged.
I picked Kristin up and sat her down on the counter. I brushed her hair and put a little hair lotion on it. I put it into a neat bun and placed a navy blue bow on the side. She also had on a white button down shirt, navy blue pants, and black Jordan's.
I got her diamond ear rings from my purse and put them in her ear.
"You're so pretty." I kissed her on the forehead.
"I woke up like this." she did the duck face and threw up her duces.
I laughed and put her down from the counter.
"Come here Justin. Let me take y'all picture." I got my phone from my purse.
Justin and Kristin stood side by side. I snapped the picture. I couldn't believe it was my babies first day of kindergarten. It seems like yesterday Jeremiah and I were pushing them in strollers. Time had flew.
Kathy and Ms Tina walked through the door. They were there to take the kids to school. I wanted to cry, but I didn't. Kristin and Justin ran up to them and gave them hugs and kisses.
"Y'all can't leave without giving me a hug." Jeremiah told them. He picked them up and hugged them. "Remember what I told y'all?"
"Stay gangsta'." they said at the same time.
I laughed and smiled at them. Jeremiah be teaching them nonsense.
"That's right." he put them down.
"I love y'all." I told them.
"We love you too mommy." My heart melted.
"Kendrick said he'd pick them up." Kathy said.
"Okay momma." I nodded. Her and Ms Tina left with the kids.
Jeremiah looked at me. "I know you wanted to cry."
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes. I started to walk into the living room.
Jeremiah smacked me on the butt and grabbed it.
"Baby that hurt." I pushed him.
He laughed and grabbed me by the waist. "I love you."
I kissed him. "I love you more."
"How about a date tonight?" he asked.
"What about Krissy and Justin?"
He kissed my neck. "I got it all handled."
These six years with Jeremiah have been heaven. And the five with my angels. I still get the butterflies when I'm with Jeremiah. My heart still melts when he touches me. He's my king. And to think, he was my little secret. Now he's my husband and the father of my kids. This beautiful life all started with a sun hat.
