ChapterSix-Party
I was finally home from school. I was glad it was Friday. Momma was in the kitchen cooking, as usual.
I heard the door bell ring from my room.
"Kay Kay come get the door!" Kathy yelled.
I got up and went to the front to answer the door. I couldn't believe who it was, Ryan.
"Can I come in?" Ryan asked.
I moved out the way so he could come in. I closed the door.
We sat down on the couch.
"Kristie I'm sorry. Please forgive me." Ryan started to cry. "I don't know what came over me. Words can't explain how sorry I am. I love you."
I didn't know whether to forgive Ryan or not. He really hurt me. But you have to forgive and forget. Right?
"I accept your apology." I said. "But you had no business putting your hands on me."
"I know I'm sorry." he looked at me in shame. "I got fired this morning. Luckily. I have some money saved up. I'll be working at Apple Bee's until I can find a job at another hospital."
Fired? Why? Then it hit me. Jeremiah is the owner of the hospital Ryanworked at. That explains it all. Damn.
"Well... I'm sorry that you got fired."
"Will you have dinner with me tomorrow night." Ryan asked.
"Sure." I nodded. " Just call me and let me know what time."
"Will do. I'm sorry again Kristie." he kissed me.
Ryan stood up. "I'll call you later."
"Okay."
Ryan left. I went into the kitchen with my momma. I sat down at the island.
"So, tell me who has took your heart from Ryan." Kathy smiled at me.
I swear she see's right through me. "Nobody momma." I blushed.
"Girl don't be lying to me." she continued to stir the macaroni.
"His name is Jeremiah Luela."
"Hmm... and what does Jeremiah do?"
"He's a C.E.O." I told her.
"Damn." Kathy giggled. "Man doing it real big."
I smiled. Yeah he is. Most C.E.O.'s be stuck up and think they're better than everybody, but not Jeremiah. He was different.
"Just do the right thing my baby." Kathy said.
I nodded.

"Jeremiah don't be putting no money in my purse." I argued with him through the phone.
Earlier, I had found $40,000 in my purse in stacks. I knew exactly where it had came from.
"Hush Kristie, you my lady. Just be ready in an hour. And bring a friend." Jeremiah said.
