Chapter Eleven - Bring my baby back
Jeremiah's POV
Lord, please bring my baby back. I'll do anything it takes. I know I messed up. I'm down here dying, crying, and begging. Lord, just do this one thing for me.
It's been two days, and my baby still hasn't woken up. I miss her. I only told her we needed a break, to keep her safe. After her graduation, my ex emailed me. She threatened Kristie's life if I didn't stop talking to her. I only wanted to take a break until Mallory was put behind bars. She's my ex. I knew her white ass was crazy. I should've protected Kristie. She's my world, and I love her so much. This is all my fault.
"Kay...please wake up." I rubbed her hand. "Please! I love you so much. I'm sorry." I cried. I was lost of words.
I'm soft when it comes to Kristie. She has all kinds of IV's in her arms and a small tube in her mouth. I hate seeing my baby like this. This is the only time I've ever cried, except at my father's funeral. If I lost Kristie, I would lose myself too. I found out yesterday that she's 2 months and a couple weeks pregnant with my child. That adds up to the very first time we had sex. I just want my baby back. I'm going crazy.
Kathy walked in. "You doing okay?"
I shook my head no. "This is all my fuckin' fault."
"Not it's not. It's yo ex fault, she the crazy one. Just be strong for Kay Kay. And the baby." she smiled.
Kathy is happy that Kristie is pregnant. This is her first grandchild. I'm happy too. I just hope that Kristie wakes up soon. I need her.
The Next Day
Kristie's POV
I woke up with a bright light shining right in my face. I realized that I was in a hospital bed. I saw Mia, then Kathy and Tina, then Jeremiah.
"Baby!" Jeremiah rushed over to me.
"What happened?" I asked.
Jeremiah told me the whole story. I knew something was up with ole girl.
"Mia, go get the nurse." Jeremiah told her.
Mia quickly walked out.
"Baby, I'm so happy that you're awake." Kathy rubbed my hand.
"Me too." Tina said. "If Jeremiah would've lost you, then I would've lost him."
Mia came back in with the nurse.
"I'm haply that you're up Ms Johnson. You were unconscious for 3 days. But your baby is healthy. And so are you." she said.
I looked around, confused. "Baby? What are you talking about?"
"Well, we ran all types of test on you. Finding out that you're two months and few weeks pregnant. You didn't know?"
I shook my head no.
"You haven't had any signs?"
"Well, lately I've been eating a lot and throwing up." I told her.
"Okay, I'll be right back."
I nodded. She wrote something down on her clipboard and walked out.
"Can we have some privacy for a moment, please?" Jeremiah asked.
Everyone left out.
"Kay, are you happy that you're pregnant?" Jeremiah asked.
"I am. It was so unexpected. Are you?" I asked.
"Hell yes. You're carrying my first child. And I'm sorry for everything. I never meant to hurt you. I just wanted to keep you safe. But I should've kept you with me. Please forgive me."
"It's okay. I'll always love you."
Jeremiah leaned down and kissed me. "I ain't never letting you go again. My queen. You've changed me and made me a better person."
I smiled. Jeremiah has changed me too. I'm honored to be carrying our first child. He's my king.
"Kay, I'm so sorry." he apologized. "I just."
"It's okay. I knew something was behind it. I was just hurt. I thought we were in this together."
"We are Kay, I just didn't know what to do." Jeremiah said. "I'll never leave your side." he kissed my hand.
The nurse walked back in.
"Ms Johnson, you'll be able to go home tomorrow. And we suggest that you go to the doctor also, to get a checkup and a ultrasound."
"Is there anything that she shouldn't eat or do?" Jeremiah asked.
"She should get as much rest as possible, and don't stress. And avoid spicy foods. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits." she said.
Jeremiah looked at me. This is about to be hell for me. I'm just ready to get out of this hospital.
These chapters were short, but Chapter Twelve will be long. The drama and action will start back up. Stay tuned :)
