TWENTY-TWO

When I wake up Theo is gone. I get ready and take my suitcase to the house. When I drop it off. I see Malia and Braeden. "Great the calvary is finally here," Braeden says. I smile.

"I just came to drop off my clothes," I reply.

"Scott said you were staying with us," Malia replies.

"Well let me go get some chips at the store. I'm pretty sure the Desert Wolf won't attack in middle of the day," I say. See Mama McCall I'll get my own food.

When I return with some seeds too. I start eating some chips. Braeden and I talk about places in the world. "Do all assassins have a weird eating habit?" Malia asks. I look at Braeden.

"No I don't think so," I answer.

I start eating some of the seeds. When it hits night time. I hear something move outside. I grab my gun and go look. I step outside and look around the house.

Silently I aim to shoot her. She looks over and my direction. Then she takes off and I follow her. When I lose her I turn around and she claws me.

I feel a little numb. "Kanima venom," I whisper. I shake it off. She looks very confused. Then she takes off. When I run back to the house. I see Braeden outside. I go through the back door.

"Next time you better shoot me in the head," Malia's mom says. I aim my gun.

"I'll give it a shot," I say. I shoot but she moves. Damn it. She gets me. Thank god she's a supernatural creature.

I heal instantly. "How did you get past the mountain ash?" She asks.

I take another shoot. I get her shin. "I'm unique," I answer. Oh no. "Sorry Malia."

I can't fight it. I turn. When I open my eyes I see her mom. I turn. I growl. I jump and stab her in the stomach. "Sorry Malia," I run off.

When I get somewhere. It's Theo's lair. Hayden and Sebastien Valet.

"You're Alex," he says.

"You must be Sebastien Valet," I reply. He smiles. I turn back into human. "I knew I had charm."

Hayden falls to the ground. I resist the urge to help her. He comes towards me. I grab his hand. "Wow you're very powerful," I say. He starts crushing my hand. Then drags me along with him.

"So where is your brother?" Sebastien asks.

"I don't know. I haven't talked to him all day," I answer. He crushes my right hand more. "I'm an experiment not a werewolf. There is a chance I won't heal. I also don't have a reason to lie."

He lets go. I punch him in the face with my left. It didn't do anything. He starts turning. I take this as my chance to run. So there is Parrish, Argent and Gerard. Argent catches me and I hold my wrist. "He just crushed my hand. Have any extra guns on you?"

Argent hands me a gun. I use my left hand. Argent starts shooting. I aim for a few good shots. Gerard somewhere Sebastien won't get us.

We start running again. After a while we see start walking. We come Scott, Liam, my dad and Theo. Gerard shoots my dad.

"This is a surprising alliance Scott. You and Deucalion,"Gerard says. Argent makes sure I won't shoot him. "How long have you been planning this little double cross?"

"About as long as he and I have been planning this one," Argent says. He throws Scott the weapon. I walk over to see my dad.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"I'll be fine," my dad answers. I nod. "Go get him."

Scott, Liam and I start walking. Then a gunshot goes off. I turn around but we have to keep going.
