TWENTY-ONE

I wake up. I'm on a table. The animal clinic. It's almost night. I slide off and stand up.

I hurry and go to my car at the school. I walk. When I get there I change. Then I go to the field. Where I see Liam stop. Then I sense it too.

I feel my claws start to grow. Liam and I meet eye to eye. I nod. I get up and hurry to my car. I grab my daggers. Liam is getting thrown by the busses.

"Hey!" I yell. It looks at me. I'm not going to win this. I just need time. Stiles and Hayden show up.

I run over to the Beast. I manage to stab it in the chest. Then I get the throat. I'm a better fighter.

It grabs me and throws me to a bus. I see Liam, Hayden and Stiles are gone. Thank god. Liam you better heal fast. I get back up. Then I start scratching the crap out it. I start running away.

A gun would be a lot better. The Beast grabs me and throws me to the wall. At least it didn't cut deep this time. I stay there for another minute or two. When I get up. I grab a gun and run to find it. My shirt isn't bloody. There is a good step.

"Alex," Someone says. A teenager. Toby.

"Get out of here," I say. "Run like your life depends on it because it does."

Toby starts running away. I hear it roar. It's in the library. Scott gets thrown to the bookshelf. Immediately I start shooting. I got it in the face once. I put the gun and run towards the Beast.

One of the daggers is still in him. Scott distracts him. I jump onto a table eo I can reach. I pull the dagger out. The Beast looks at me and I stab it again. I hurry and pull the dagger out.

The Beast backhands me and I fall onto the table behind me. Thank god it didn't break. I slide off the edge and I fall to the ground.

I start to get up I see Liam. He attacks the Beast. Then I see Braeden and Malia. I grab my gun and start shooting again until I'm out.

The Beast is on the run. I pull out my phone and call the ambulances. Scott looks at me. "I got the ones on the field," I say then I start running. I get out there it's chaotic. I see Toby.

I look for anybody injured. Not many only 5 people are. That's a good start. I hold down a wound until the ambulances come. I talk to the lady about her son. Everybody is watching.

Except for the few helping other people. They're scared. I see Toby. He looks frightened. He's on the bench.

I sit next to him. "Hey it's alright," I say.

He looks scared. I hug him. "You were saving my mom," he says. He hugs me back. When he lets go. I offer him a ride to the hospital. Toby agrees. He doesn't speak until we get to the parking lot of the hospital.

"Alex, I don't know how you're so brave," Toby says. Then gets out of the car.

Toby you couldn't be more wrong. I'm terrified but I can't be. When I get to Scott's. Stiles and Malia are leaving with Braeden.

"Go ahead I can watch over him," I tell them. They leave. I head upstairs to Scott's room. Kira is getting up. I look at her.

"Are you staying for a while? I have to get home," Kira says.

"Go ahead. No one will hurt him," I reply. She leaves the room. Scott looks at me.

"Hey," he says.

"Hey."

"Thank you for saving me," Scott says. I shake my head.

"I didn't save you. I just merely helped stopping it," I assure.
