Auditorium

Chloe and I headed in and found Sasha and Yasmin with Cameron, Eitan and Dylan. But somehow, Koby wasn't there.

"W-where's Koby?" I muttered under my voice.

"Good morning, Jade! How was it?" Dylan asked as I sat between Yasmin and Chloe.

All of them had a date, except for me. If Koby was here I wouldn't be feeling so lonely.

"How was what?" I asked, looking at him with puzzled look.

"Your date with Koby at the backstage." He said with rolling of his eyes.

Oh yeah. I forgot. They called it a date?! It wasn't even a date since he called me his confidant.

"Confidant?" Cameron asked with a hint of surprised in his tone. He quickly looked away.

"I-I," I hate it when I can't say a thing. There was blond-girl who interrupted us.

I walked in first and the others followed. I went straight to my locker to avoid any circumstances or any conversation with people.

As I was near my locker, I saw Koby's back. He was talking to the girl again! I almost choke. I took my chance as they talk and talk to go to my locker.

My hands were shaking as I quickly entered the code.

Hope Koby doesn't notice me.

I prayed and prayed, searching for my book. Someone just coughed behind me. It was very close behind me. My nerves were shaking too bad and no, I'm not going to stop.

As I got my book, I quickly shut my locker and checked if it was lock. I ran towards my first period.

“You still hadn't talked to me." Koby pouted as I made my way in the auditorium. 

Why am I the lucky one to be here? My class voted for me to go the auditorium and book it for our rehearsal for some stupid presentation for the anniversary of our founder.

“Jade!" Koby commanded, still I ignored him.

“Miss Kara, can we use the auditorium?" I asked as I found the in charge person of the auditorium.

“Of course! Your class is lucky to be a performer of the celebration." She commented, looking at Koby behind me. “What do you need Kob?" She asked.

Koby was, of course, a music major. I was an art major, which was why we were chosen in the presentation since me and my best friends were good in dancing.

"Just making sure that Jade wouldn't get lost." Koby said, with thw widest grin. My heart was beating a bit faster and louder as Koby snatched my hand from my side. "I gotta walk her to her class back, Ms. Kara. She's a bit sick today, just making sure she won't fall."

He lied. With. His. Signature. Cute. And. Helpless. Smile.

Ms. Kara just smiled and even called us LOVE BIRDS. She is a huge of fan of Romance. That's why she was in charge of the school's auditorium every semester. She said she always find love in that place. And besides, she was a fan of every couple here in this school.

Koby and i exited and walked towards the art room. The art room was kind of far from the auditorium because the auditorium was always noisy and the art class needs their time silently to concentrate more in the beauty of everything.

"You keep on avoiding me." Koby broke the very comfortable silence between us.

"Why do you always have to come into my business and ask why?" I retorted, passing through the short cut passage going to the art room.

"Well, because it is bothering me that the girl I want doesn't even notice my efforts on greeting her 'good morning' and walking her to her first class." Koby sighed.

I stopped on my tracks and looked at him. Was it true? Or did I dreamt again? He called me The Girl I Want.

And me not noticing his efforts? I guess he turned the world around. It was him who didn't notice in tje first place!

Am I juts dense or am I just conditioning m mind that he will never like me the way I like him?

“Ko-koby–" I said his name softly, but I just realized he left me standing there alone.

I ran back to the auditorium and I saw him with the girl again, talking down the stage. His fac was frowning, and the girl seemed to look understanding. Tears streamed down my face, I closed the door gently and walked to the art room
