I stretched my arms and legs in my soft, comfy bed. I didn't actually told mom anything, instead I gave her a trivia.
Did she knew about it? What if she didn't knew? How will she react? What will be the outcome? Will mom and dad's relationship will end sooner?
"Will it be fine if I skip school?" I asked Chloe. I knew she wasn't a morning person, but she came ahead of time when I called her.
"Why? Tell me." She flopped beside me in my couch, opening one of my magazines.
"I don't feel like." I sighed. Honestly, I didn't. I didn't want to know more about Jhel, and of course, Koby. What if I'll see him today? What if we bump into each other?
"Don't worry, if it's about Jhel's threat, I will never leave your side. Unlike Sasha," she kind of whispered her last statement. What was with Sasha? She was the one who told me.
"Wha-what about her?" I looked at her, she was still reading, bit her expression was mad.
"She—kinda doesn't like this situation," she forces out a smile. She thought I wouldn't notice it? I'm not an idiot.
"So she left, was that it?" I ended her sentence, which was correct— she turned around. Now, who wouldn't be mad at that? A best friend— whom I though was— you knew since when just turned her back on her.
"Anyway, the mall is a good place to hang-out," she suggested, smiling widely.
"What if we'll cross paths with the unwanted? Or the least people we wanted to see?" I'm losing hope with myself. I can't even bare the fact that mom will just randomly shout any minute now dad will just appear out of nowhere.
I'm sure dad slept with his perfect family— having a wife and a daughter. Although we were, too —just the presence, you can't consider the inner thing. I thought mom and dad loved each other. That was just the start. Then they got me. When they got me, everything seemed to change. The view ahead seemed to be different than I though it was before.
"Then we'll go to Eitan's," she stood up excitedly and grabbed my wrist.
The mall didn't quite looked the same as it was when I was little— few years ago. I didn't had that much time to visit a mall or go shopping since I was busy with stuffs.
There were some new boutiques of clothes that lined up at our right—making some ladies fight because of the sale. And then there was Eitan's smoothie shoppe.
He was busy as a waiter — serving people with a delighted smile. He didn't noticed us until he reached out table. He was like: "Jade! Chloe! What brought you two here? Skipping school?"
"Uh-huh."
"Oh, hold on Jade-y." He went behind the counter excitedly. He calls us our names with -y in the end when he's excited of something for you. So he's no good in keeping a secret surprise.
"So, what made you skip school, Eit?" Chloe was like as Eitan came back with his back pack and casual clothes.
"I'm going to meet up with someone," he sat opposite us since Chloe moved beside me.
"Yasmin?" She curiously asked, raising her brows.
Well that made Eitan blush. "No." He flashed a smile.
"Then who?" Chloe's eyes widen.
"Huh. Calm down, Chloe,"— he smoothen his hair—"Oh, here he is!" Eitan stood up and did some handshake with a guy behind me.
"Jade, come see who—"
"Jade?" The guys asked, still I didn't looked at who he was. Pain hit me with just his voice.
