Jade's POV

I was really hoping for something from Koby that time I was with him at the backstage of the auditorium.

Unfortunately, someone came in and interupted our moment. A blond girl with quite not so popular look called Koby's attention.

I should have known that why Koby never knew I liked him because he likes someone else.

She stared at me as I was some unwanted visitor. So I grabbed the opportunity when she got near him to leave.

“Doesn't mean that she was his girlfriend." Sasha tried to cheer me up in thus whole phone call.

I went home straight after what happened at the backstage. I don't want to hear any of it from Koby. Not today. When I got home, mom nor dad wasn't home. I bet they were both with their friends while I was gone.

I got out of the bathroom and flopped down into the most sweetest thing: bed.

“So? Aren't you going to school tomorrow?" The first sentence that I heard as I opened my Skype.

“Uhm... I guess I'll just avoid him until this fiasco is over." I replied truthfully. But I'm quite sure when this will be over.

“I don't guess it won't be over until the dance?" Chloe commented, Cameron beside her.

Chloe was at Cameron's again. They were just doing homework for sure. But hey, don't think bad about them. Cameron had the greatest respect for her and wouldn't touch her until she's ready.

"Okay. I'll admit it. I was jealous." I blurred out just in time when Yasmin Opened.

Jealous of what?" She asked. I filled them with what happened at the backstage.

“I'm going to bed, guys." I said after a couple of minutes. I suddenly felt tired of everything. Still there was no sign of mom nor dad.

Mom didn't woke me up to eat dinner. So I ended up walking to the fridge as early as 4 am.

I nearly jumped out of horror when I saw my dad eating like a pig at the kitchen island. He was eating one of mom's best recipes, Graham Cake.

"Morning, dad." I greeted. Now, it was his turn to be scared.

"Jade! For Pete's sake. You scared the shit out of me." He lowered his voice, not wanting to wake mom up.

"Sorry. Just came down to eat something." I explained.

"Didn't your mom told you to eat dinner? What kind of mother is she?" He complained as he scrathed his head.

"I think she didn't bother to wake me up, though." I suggested just to calm dad down.

I grabbed some donuts and cookies of different flavors and colors and a bottle of water. Soon, I headed to my room after dad.

I should explain. Call me when you get this.

A message flashed through my screen as I checked the time on my phone. I looked at the sender and it was Koby.

What should he explain about? It was clear that he was with that girl. Wait! Is she the reason why he preffered the auditorium at lunch?

I gasped at that though. I scanned my room and found my garbage can. Maybe she was the reason, though.

I tried going to school late so I don't have to see Koby or his his friends, either mine. But Chloe came at our house as early as 6 am.

"So? Where are we going?" I asked as she finished her story about her and Cameron at his place.

“We are going on a breakfast." She winked as we parked at a cafe near the park. I saw Sasha's jeep parked nearby, too .
