Back to Reality of Friendship...
Back to Jade's POV
The days passed quickly and it was already Wednesday. Well, wasn't I excited?
As I walked through the corridors, it was decorated with balloons or whatever colorful for the dance. After all, the theme was rainbow. Well, the student government was cool, though. And they themed the dance to something colorful, since mostly of the student government were seniors and it was their last year here at our school.
Since it was mostly free time, I decided to pay the Auditorium a visit. It has been days ago since I was here. And it wasn't just a normal day way back then, it was the day when he asked me to the dance. That must mean something, right?
The Auditorium was one of the most memorable places for me. Well, it really was! It was where he said he loves me, and it was where he asked me to the dance.
I opened the door ajar and peeked inside. I felt like I was in perfect timing because I saw Koby's back, he seemed fixing something on the stage. I walked down to the stage, and found myself hugging him from behind.
"Jadey?" He startled. "Hey, how are you?" He slowly turned his head to glance sideways.
"Oh, I'm fine. You?" I whispered through his sweater. I sound so girly. Eww.
He chuckled, making his back vibrate. He finally unclasp my arms that were on his belly and finally turnrd to me, still holding my arms. "I wasn't expecting you'd be here," he said like his eyes were sparkling or something. "Are you hungry? I have some sandwich here." He searched for the sandwiches in his bag and handed one to me.
"Thanks," I mumbled, making my way to the end of the stage and sat. I heard his foot steps behind, I knew he would follow. "Are you going to perform?" I tilted my head and rested on his shoulder.
"Hmm... I want to," he shyly said.
"Why not?" I jolted up, I want to push him to perform. He had a good voice, after all. And not just that, he could also play guitar.
"Because it is supposedly for you, now I have to tell everyone, and they'll know." He frown, staring at his sandwich.
I cupped his face, "Don't you want to tell the world?" I kissed his forehead. I think I made him guilty with that. "Sorry," I whispered on his forehead.
"I'm the one who should be sorry," he pouted.
I could feel the awkwardness in the air. I want to push this awkwardness away but I can't find a way how. I mean, I never experienced this before!
Luckily, my phone rang. I looked at Koby and he nodded, telling me to answer it.
"Hello?" I asked curiously. The caller's I.D. was just a number, though. Still, my eyes were fixed on Koby's.
"Jade? This is Sasha," with that just, I burst out crying. Oh how I missed Sasha. She was once my best friend, before it was messed up by Jhelian.
"Sasha?" I can't form too much words right now. Koby must have saw the tears because he hugged me immediately.
"Can we, at least, talk in personal?" She asked, I know in the other line, she was also crying. I pulled away and looked into Koby's eyes, which showed curiosity.
"She wants to talk to me," I told him, whispering.
"You want me to go with you?"
"Can I bring someone?" I asked Sasha.
She sighed, "Fine. But just the three of us, nothing more, okay?"
I nodded, "Okay."
Sasha hung up and a text message popped up on my screen. It was an address of a coffee shop in the town. Sasha wanted me there.
I waited for the class to end and meet up with Koby at the parking lot. We walked to the coffee shop, silently. He didn't said anything, he just carried my bag. He wanted me to have my own space.
When we arrived, Sasha was already there, seating at the corner. She must've saw me, and yet, her eyes were filled with sadness. I asked Koby to sit on another table to give me and Sasha a privacy, which he totally agrees with. He was such a gentleman.
"Hey," I casually said. She returned ne with a gesture to sit down. "Go, start speaking."
"Jade," she breathed out. "I am really sorry."
I know I wanted to hug her deep inside, but I shouldn't let my guards down. At the corner of my eye, Koby seemed to kind his own business and I hope he has all ears on us.
"I think you should start talking now," I said, shifting on my seat.
"Oh, yeah," she said. She took a deep breath before she continued, "you see, Jhel had a held of me. It was because her mom and my dad had an affair. At first, dad said it was just a company business, then I kept hanging out with Jhel because our parents became friends. There, she blackmailed me."
I can't take my eyes off her. How did she became so coward? Why now? Oh, come on!
"She blackmailed you?" It sounded like an echoe.
She nodded. "Well, I wanted to fix everything between us before I leave."
"Leave?" I echoed again, furrowing my brows at her. I saw Koby, on the corner of my eye, looked at our direction, with the same expression. Puzzled.
She nodded again. "Since the affair broke, I guess Jhel's mom told mom. And then mom and dad got a divorce. So, me and mom are going to Italy, to my grandparents."
"Was it final? Permanent?"
"Yes, it is. And I'm sorry," she looked down, which I assumed was her hands on her lap.
"I forgive you," was all I said. Finally, she collasped in my arms-which I meant was a hug.

Hey, guys! Sorry I haven't updated lately.
Explanations? Fine.
I haven't updated for long because it's my birthdaaaaaaay! And because of the finals coming.
So, that's it.
P.s. the last line was actually inspired by Cinderella-where she forgave her step mother for mistreating her when the Prince found her. Yay!
