Chapter 42

Demitri’s P.O.V

“He’s here boss.” Raphael’s voice flows through my earpiece.

“Okay, all of you keep an eye on him, I want to be informed of his location at all times. Keep check of all the entryways and exits. Updates every ten minutes.” I instruct back to all 20 of my men here tonight.

“Yes, boss.” My gang’s voices answer back.

I have all my men dressed up and posing as guests for tonight, helping me keep an eye out for the trouble that is bound to come.

“Boss, David is walking into the main room with his arms over the shoulders of Esme and Nikki.” Another update.

I turn my head and walk straight to the main room, decorated for tonight. My eyes scan the room and I spot Carlos a little to my left searching for David as well.

Carlos’ slightly concerned eyes spot me and he walks over to me, speed walking.

“Seen them yet?” I shake my head in a simple answer and let my eyes to continue wandering the room.

“Over there.” I say spotting David with Nikki and Esme, all chatting; smiles all around.

“Okay, Demitri and I have a visual on David. Everyone keep watching for anything else.” Carlos announces to the gang through the mic. piece on his arm, pressing the button on his cuff, allowing the mic to pick up the signals.

Instantly we hear a response of agreement.

“David.” Carlos says curtly, nodding his head slightly in acknowledgement.

“Ahh, just the boys I was looking for.” The young and naïve David says, despite the fact that he is five years younger than myself and four years younger than Carlos.

“Nikki you look beautiful.” I turn my attention to where it is deserved, my fiancé.

I bend down slightly, and give her a quick kiss and smile. She returns the gesture immediately.

“Thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself.” She says with a cheeky grin, as she eyes me head to toe.

I let out a chuckle and turn to David, my expression changing instantly to the one I always have for work; hard and relentless.

David makes a fake gagging gesture. “I expect you to be respectful in our house David, considering you aren’t very wanted here. Now I suggest you stop acting like an infantile eighteen year old boy and instead like a mature businessmen because trust me if you weren’t here for business, you wouldn’t be here period.” I firmly remind David; his immaturity taking a toll on my patience.
