It was a bright day when Teail woke up again, he felt some wet touch on his hand so he moved in bed all scared, he raised his eyes open to meet a pair of green orbs looking straight at him.
"Shh, it's ok, I'm here," the sweet whisper made him inhale sharper.
"Vanessa," he whispered her name when she kissed his cheek gently.
"Don't worry I'm here, you're ok, you will be better. The headmaster had allowed me to see you, he said you woke up. I was going crazy this week, I thought I've lost you," she squeezed his palm to her face kissing it.
"Vanessa what about Renjun?" asked Taeil trying to get up but she stopped him.
"I don't know, I haven't seen him, I guess I haven't seen anyone I was missing you like crazy," she said her hand was on his hair caressing it.
He could scream for help, he needed to know, he needed to know what had happened to Renjun.
"Taeil are you not happy to see me?" Vanessa's eyes watered.
"I am," he said turning from her.
He was one worry, his body answering with more pain.
"Can you help me to sit up?" he asked.
"Shh the headmaster told me you need to rest. Try to sleep I will hold your hand," she pressed his palm to her chest he felt her rushed heartbeat.
"I had slept for the past week I need to act!" said Taeil trying to sit up again, but she leaned over him pressing her lips to his.
His head blurred, his mind dozed off, there was just the sweetens of her kiss left.
"I'm sorry," he whispered when she moved inches above his face.
"Try to make sure you will go out of here quickly, I really miss this," she pecked his lips again.
"How was... was your full moon?" asked Taeil feeling so bad.
It was all his fault.
"Ok, the headmaster had given me a potion, professor DO assisted me to the Shrieking Shack. It felt strange, I really wished you were there to help me, but it was fine. I was curling up on the bed the whole night not really willing to move. Yes the next morning I was myself again," she tried to play it cool.
He knew she didn't want to make him feel worse.
"So sleep now, I'm here at lest for one more hour," she caressed his hand.
"Ok," Taeil closed his eyes.
He felt her lips brushing his again and he smiled into the kiss, when has it happened that the girl of his dreams became so crazy about him? Was he a good kisser was it all it took to get her attention?
He was thinking about it all, when she was holding his hand, her warmth made him drift off again.
It was the next day how Taeil had guessed by the way the sun was up in the sky. He had lost the count of time. He was fleeing slightly better, he could even sit up in the bed without it being too painful. He scanned the room again to discover the same curtains around the bed on the other side.
There was no one here and he decided to lift the duvet. It was difficult as his arm started to give him a lot of slicing pain when he move it, still he placed his feet one the floor, the amount of strength he needed to put into each move made him fell dizzy. It was hard to get up as his legs barely carried him but he walked step by step supporting himself at the edge of the bed. The way through the room was far more complicated he needed to stop three times till he reached the curtains, his heart hammering like crazy. He moved between them walking into a small space with just a bed in it, there he stopped abruptly, he nearly gave out a cry of horror as the sight in front of his eyes was way too much to handle.
It was Renjun, the small sweet Renjun, his body had turned into something so disturbing, from the snake tail, to the owl wings and the kitten tail. Taeil needed a moment to grasp it fully, till he stepped to the bed. Renjun moved, his body trembled, moments later their eyes met. For a second it brought Taeil back to the lake, the memory of the glowing red eyes and the huge fangs filling him.
"Renjun," whispered Taeil walking to the bed and sitting on the mattress. He lifted his left hand that was a little better till he touched the boy's head caressing over his hair. Renjun sniffed.
"Renjun, please don't cry," begged Taeil, he had the urge to hug the boy but his destroyed body made it impossible, so he kept ignoring the pain when he was caressing Renjun's hair gently.
"I'm bad..." whispered Renjun causing Taeil's heart to break.
"No you are not," he said calmly.
"I'm bad, I'm a monster," Renjun's small body was shivering all the time.
"I'm a werewolf I had bitten Vanessa do you think I'm a monster?" asked Taeil gently.
Renjun shook his head his cried out eyed looked Taeil's way.
"No."
"You see, you're my little brother Renjun nothing can change that," Taeil caressed his cheek with one finger smiling in a faint way.
Renjun's eyes glittered, he rolled over the bed placing his head on Taeil's lap.
"I'm so scared Taeil, so so scared, I don't want to be like this, but it will never go away," he cried louder.
"Renjun, you're a brilliant wizard. You're an animgus, you can turn into one, and you can change back into a human, it's all in you, trust me, you had done it so many times."
Renjun nodded but in this moment the curtain opened and a very mad Madame Becky came in.
"Taeil you're really the worst patient I have ever had, what are you ding here, back to your bed!" he shouted.
Taeil sighed, he caressed Renjun's hair one more time, he was very sad when the lady escorted him back telling him off the whole way.
