I couldn't believe what I was hearing .

"He made it up because I took his true love blah blah."

"So why did you skip town"

"He told that lie to everyone he knows and he knows a lot of people, but none know of his life so his story was easier and more exciting to spread than mine."

I felt like a complete Idiot. I believed Matt so easily not even giving Bret a chance.

I quickly told Bret this was a set up. And how I hoped we could me again on better terms.

When Matt came in on cue he was confused to find me alone.

"Take a seat Matthew." I said stone cold .

"What the Fuck! , where is he ?!"

"Where's who Destiny?"

As soon as i said her name Matt's eyes gave him away. The way his eyes dilated I could tell his past was replaying in his head .

"What did you say ?"

Matt said the words so slow as if he was in a state of shock.

"I said , who are you looking for ,Destiny?"

"Luc I-!"

"Save it , I already know the story ."

"I swear I was going to tell you after -"

"AFTER YOU FUCKING KILL HIM OVER A GIRL ! LISTEN TO YOURSELF!"

"SHE'S JUST NOT ANY GIRL!"

"YEAH SHE'S ONE YOU'D KILL FOR!"

I calm myself down not wanting the attention we've attracted.

"Whatever is at your place can stay there. "

" Luc , what do you mean ?"

" I'll be sleeping elsewhere tonight "

"LUC WAIT ! "

I can hear Matt calling after me and I start laughing hysterically.

" OH FUCK YOU MATTY BOY"

I stick it to him and my laughter turns into sobs. I couldn't figure out why I was crying until I was at the park.

I concluded to two reasons. i was jealous Matt was so defensive of Destiny. Or I was more upset that he lied to my face and made me feel bad for having doubts.

I also had another theory that was so far out , fkr a spilt second I thought I was falling for Matt. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy.
