Chapter 13: My first Spell

Previously on Creatures of the Wilderness 2:

"Kailya Browne daughter of Sophia Browne and Mike Browne was travelling with her maid Mary on there way home when a truck lost control and crash into then when passing the intersection. Mary died but when the vehicle was search but only Mary's body was found. "

"Isn't Sophia the one—"

"Saya...Saya....Saya."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"My name's Spencer." He said

"Spencer?"  I asked thinking, 'Where did i heard that name before?'

...

"By the way.. You're suppose to be dead by now you know that?.... Unless..." He looked at me, "....you possess something... Perhaps magic..."

Story starts:

I sat down leaning against a tree in the woods that was at the back of the house. Being in the house with Liam wasn't so comfortable, especially when you know you have to always be on the lookout.

Today I decided to skip College, mostly because Lucas and Jade are suppose to be back. On the other hand the vampires went so I was home by myself.

I haven't heard from Spencer since Saturdays night, So I started to believe it was my imagination.

I stretch my hand in the air and looked at the palm of my hand then my wrist. Kailya suddenly came to my mind. Its been 2 days Kailya was gone. I haven't heard any news about her after that. Sophia is probably heartbroken. I place down my hand.

'I wonder if I can do it?' I thought as I sat up straight . I didn't know how to fully activate it but seeing that Kailya was able to cast magic without fully activating it, I should be able to do it also.

I close my eyes, remembering what Kailya had told me I close my eyes. And imaging myself in a dark place I let my body relax.

Then I saw it I imagine myself in more darkness.

'There it is.. The sigil it's complete.'

I open my eyes and saw something glowing. I look at the back of my hand to see the same sigil on my hand that I saw when I closed my eyes, the end of the sigil split and wrap itself around my wrist.

"Its not complete!"

"Uh?" I looked up where I heard the voice.

"Spencer?! How long have to been up there for?"

"What? Am always around." He said then floated down out the tree.

He then came up to me and hold on to my hand with the mark then spoke,

"Well it seems you've acquired the shadow sigil, but it seems you're at stage two."

"Shadow Sigil...." I look at Spencer, "Do you know anything about it?"

"Not really. But I do know to fully activate it." He look at me,  "Am sure you saw the sign when you closed your eyes right?"

I nodded.

"When that happen you have to meditate for 5 days(to keep focus) until you met the shadow demon. If you're lucky the days can be slim down to hours even minutes but you have to get help from a person with a fire sigil."

My eyes widened remembering what happened when Kailya was helping me activating it, Spencer continued and I listen.

"Upon meeting, the shadow demon must be fond of you or It'll consume you and what I've saw in the past he's not the type to be fond of people."

"Hmmm.. Is that all?" I asked.

"Am sorry but I don't know that much about it.. I only knew about wind, water and flame...."

He let go of my hand as he asked, "... Okay, ever try any spell?"

"No.... I don't know much about it." I said.

"Hhmmm.." He went deep in thoughts then look at me, "Okay..let's try this illusion spell."

"Oh okay."

"Say these word—."

"Wait! Who am I gonna try oy on?" I asked cutting him off. I then look around, Spencer did the same.

"Hmm..."

Nothing wasn't around to be my Guinea pig.

"I guess you can use me," he said

"Okay."

"Yeah..so ready?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Repeat after me.."

After he said the words I look at him as I mutter what he had said.

"Eyes see far and near but a blur one is what I bechee on thee."

I look at Spenser who was staring blankly at me.

"So did it work?" I asked

"Yep it did. What you did was an illusion spell, it last up to 5 minutes...Now dispel it."

"How?"

Spencer sigh. "Just keep your eyes focus on the part you put under the spell and say the word dispel."

"Oh..uhmm.." I did what I was told, "Dispel."

He blink a few times, "I rather this view." He said, then continue, "When you complete it you'll be able to created your own spell along with summoning the demon."

"How do you know this much?" I asked.

"A woman goes by the name Annabel, I was her apprentice taught me what I need to know but I ran away from her." He said.

"Okay." I said. I decided not to indulged myself into his personal life.

He then turn his head away from me then spoke, "This will be all for today, I advised you to get rid of that." He pointed on my hand.

I place my hand on my chin,"how?"

"You're hopeless,' I heard him muttered, " Just think of the sigil begin erased."

"Oh that sounds simple," using his procedure the sigil vanished. I also blink a few times.

"Bye." Spencer said suddenly then disappeared.

"Wait—"

I was cut off by someone embracing me. He then lifted me and sprung me around a few times.

'What?' I look down to see it was Lucas.
