Chapter 27: Everything is not what it seems

Previously on Creatures of the Wilderness 2:

"I thought I was going back to that place.... But.." I held on to my head then look at Spencer, "...How did you find me?" I asked.

"We're linked, of course I'll know where you are…luckily I came in time." He said.

"Okay." I said then looked at over at Kailya who was sleeping with no care in the world.

I got up and walked over to then.

Max then inhale, "I smell a faint scent of a vampire." He came closer to me then backed away, "Luna did you meet a vampire before you got caught?" He asked.

"Yeah.. Didn't you?" I asked.

"No we didn't."

"Luna who did you meet?" Max asked.

"Lucas." I said confused.

He went deep in thoughts then muttered, "That name, I heard it before."

"Lucas isn't dangerous." I said.

"Now I know." He said.
...

"Saya you can't trust him!" He said  shaking me,  "He's the same reason am here! "  he spatted out.

I pulled away from him, " You've been here longer than I am. How can I be sure that your not here to deceive me also? " I asked coldly, repeating the words that Lucas had told me.

He looked at me wide eyes.

Story Starts:

"How long are we going to run for?" I asked.

"We can't do anything now." Max said.

'Was he still angry with me?' I couldn't tell now.

We continue to dodge the trees. I then heard something moved. I look at max who was still running.

'Maybe he didn't hear.'

I look on his right to see something coming at him.

"Max look out!" I shouted.

I ran up to him and push him out the way. The last thing I remember is Max calling out my name before I block out. (I've been blocking/fainting out a lot.)

"Hey.. Saya... Wake up." A small yet squeaky voice was trying to get my attention.

"uhh... sa..ya.. " I muttered as i open my eyes.

'Kailya?'

"Your up...sniff... thank goodness...sniff sniff... , your life source was suddenly cut off....sniff.... I taught you were dead." The Kailya said.

The ground was wet as I look at my surrounding and couldn't see anything, I squinted my eyes but the fog was thicker the usually fog.

"Where's Max?" I look around but I couldn't see any signs of Max.

"I..I don't know.. I woke up and saw you out cold."

I frown, "Where could Max go?" I asked.

I found it suspicious that he left Kailya and I alone. Anything could of happened when I blocked out. I should of just let what ever hit me, hit him instead.. But why did I take that hit for him? That was the question I couldn't answer.

"Come on Saya we have to go.. It's not safe here." Kailya said snapping me out my thoughts.

I nodded.

As I was about to host myself up I felt a pain shot through my side.

"Fuck!" I cussed out then fall back on the ground. The pain was too much, it felt like a knife was stabbing repeatedly at the same place.
