When we arrived at the hospital, Charlie went to talk to the doctor about Heather and Grup's recovery, and Paul led me to the room where she was in. He knocked gently, and we heard a muffled "come in", sounding like it was Katie who said it.

"Oh. Hi Paul," said Heather as he opened the door. Katie was sitting in a chair at her bedside, laughing at something Heather said. Her eyes narrowed when she saw me.

"Why's she here?" She asked Paul icily.

Paul glanced at me. "Let her talk to you. She has something to say."

Heather rolled over in the bed. "What! She's probably here to finish me off!" she barked, with as much anger as she could muster through the pain.

"Heather.' he said gently. "Remember when you and me were in a fight when we were little and I sprained my wrist because you accidentally hit-"

"Okay!" She interrupted. "I'll listen!"

"She hit my wrist with a bat." He chuckled at me. "And she was so guilty-"

"Paul!" She screeched.

"Okay, okay! I'm gonna go see how Grup is doing." He exited, leaving me with two glaring (possibly both insane) people.

"So." I started. "How are you doing Heather?"

"Say what you were gonna say or get out." She spat.

"Right." I gulped. "So I apologized to Jacob. I tried to kiss him but-"

"What?!?" Heather and Katie shrieked in unison.

"Let me finish!" I exclaimed. "I'll tell you everything!"

And I did. I told them everything. I told them about Meredith, Ashley, Paul, and everything else that happened after they got mad at me.

"I apologized to Delaney and Jacob. I tried to apologize to Katie but she wanted me to come here and apologize to you first, Heather. So I'm sorry guys. I'm sorry I acted like a bitch." I say, not even flinching at my language. "I wasn't myself, and I thought I wasn't doing anything wrong, but I was. I was so worried about Jacob and what he thought of me, and I forgot that to me, your opinions matter most."

After I finished, I looked at them, and they stared back at me. I stood there, willing them to say something, anything, but no words came.

"Um... do you guys forgive me?" I asked uncertainly.

"Yeah." Heather said finally. "I do."

"Me too." Katie added.

I was so happy I almost burst into tears. "Really? Oh my-"

"No." Katie said.

"W-what?" I asked. "You don't forgive me?"

"Just kidding!" She and Heather laughed at high-fived. "You're forgiven."

I stared happily at the pair of them, but then I frowned suddenly.

"You know guys, I always feel like a third wheel to you two. You guys are so close to each other and I'm just... there."

"Yeah. That's true." Agreed Katie. "But what can we do about it? We're not discluding you, but we can't exactly stop being best friends."

"You're right. I guess I'll just have to find another best friend!" I declared, with a newfound hope.

Just then, Paul opened the door, Charlie right behind him, pushing Grup in on a wheelchair.

"Mind if we join?" Charlie asked.

We all had fun talking and laughing until Paul looked down at his watch and said "Bertha, I hate to say it, but it's 8:45. We got to get you home so your dad doesn't freak."

"Yeah." I agreed. I hugged everyone and left with Paul and Charlie.

"Did everything go alright?" Paul asked.

"Perfectly." I grinned.
