I flop onto my bed and pull out my diary from under my pillow, where I can safely keep it without worrying about Billy getting to it. I open to a blank page and write.

Dear diary,

I'm writing this really quick because Delaney's about to come over in a few minutes. It's been about two weeks since Heather, Katie and I became friends again, and Heather's back in school, rocking her leg cast and crutches. Katie's really happy too. I think both of them felt lost without their best friend there for them 24/7.

I have made two best friends! Delaney and Paul. We're all really great together, and every Friday, Paul invites me, Delaney, Heather, Katie, Grup, and Jacob, who has also become one of our good friends, since we bonded over Meredith, over to his house. We all play board games and watch movies while Heather's Aunt, or Paul's mom brings us armloads of great food. Charlie usually comes down and hangs out with us too!

Me and Paul have become really good friends in the past few weeks, and I told Delaney that I think I like him. As in, like like him. But I told her I'm gonna take things slow and just stay friends for now. He's really sweet and a great friend.

Oh! Delaney's here! She's gonna hang out with me and help me pick an outfit for tonight, when me and Paul see a movie together, just me and him. It's gonna be so fun! But we're just friends though... for now...

Life is really good! I feel like the true, BOOTYFUL Bertha! Oops. I gotta pay Katie 10$ now...

By the way, I was just thinking about that one time when Heather and Katie were giving me a makeover, and Katie said something about 'adapting'. I think I have adapted... and conquered.

EEEEEK! What do you guys think?  I really like this story and I hope you guys do too.
