Author's Note: This poem is based off a person in my Intro to Lit course named Maddie. The assignment was to interview them and then write a story/poem on them. So this is what I came up with in the ten minutes I had.
With the drama of two sisters,
I push through the struggles of Depression,
While enjoying the rewards of ignoring the fuel of my stomach's desire.
But all my muscles relax in the support of my parents,
And my pleasures.
Taking the time to arrange a snap shot of an unsuspecting victim,
Or losing myself into a moving picture,
Helps me enjoy the bright light of day,
As the anti-depresents push back the dark a little more.
I enjoy this life all the more,
For you only live once,
And you should enjoy it.
