Chapter 2 - House Warming

Chapter 2.

"It's lovely!" squeals Georgia looking around.

I laugh, "You saw it the other day George!"

"But now it has STUFF in!" she grins as she walks around looking in every single cupboard. "TWO TOOTHBRUSHES?!" she shouts.

I put my hand on her mouth, "shut up!" but I'm grinning.

I hear someone clear their throat, "talking about me?" we both turn around and see Luke standing there sheepishly.

"Possibly unless there's another person that stayed around last night?" Georgia probes.

"Errrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm" Luke looks at me and I nod.

"Yep it was me" he grins.

"But as usual, don't go blabbing, just leave it" I laugh at Georgia.

"Hey gorgeous" Jai says coming up behind Georgia.

"Hey" Luke grins, me and Georgia both laugh.

"Not you, you fag" Jai snarls at Luke, Luke puts his arm around me.

"Alright simmer down" Gina says coming over. "Hey grandchild of mine" she says talking to my bump. "Did I hear you leave the house last night Lukey?" she grins.

"Mummmm" he blushes.

"It's okay, it's what the baby needs, it's parents together" Gina grins.

"It's not quite like that Mum, we're just going along with whatever happens" Luke smiles, "anyway we better go and mingle" he says taking my hand and leading me around our group of friends and family.

Everyone congratulates me for the baby and new flat. I've completed my degree and can now teach primary school children and I'd had a couple of modelling shoots with the agency before I had a bump and they said to give them a call when I'd had the baby. My life was going perfectly, granted I didn't plan for this baby, but I could deal with it, and I'd make the most of it!

James and Katie are here, they've got back together, but James had to grovel for ages to win back her trust. Jai and Georgia are going strong and are happy, they're inseparable! Skip, Aly and Alfie are the cutest family ever and I couldn't wait to go on play dates with them and Gillie was moving to Glenroy when she had finished her University.

"Here's our 2nd daughter" Rose grins taking me into a hug.

"Thank you for everything but I'm sure that I'll be back all the time" I laugh.

"Well you're always welcome love" Jim grins.

"Sometimes I swear you don't even want me as your daughter, just Kayla" Georgia says coming up to us.

"Well ... I'm not even going to argue with that" Rose smirks at us.

We banter and chat for a while and I make my way round everyone till the only person that is left is Luke.

"How did this happen?" I smile.

"I just wanted to help you clean" he says biting his lip.

"Luke Anthony Mark Brooks, do not lie to me!" I laugh.

"Or whatttt?" he says like a child.

"I will hurt you!" I say grabbing a pillow and whacking him, he falls onto the sofa and pulls me with him; I end up straddling his lap. I look at him for a minute taking in his lip ring and freckles, the way he's done his hair, before lowering my lips to his, messing up his perfectly styled hair.

"So, what are you doing here?" I say looking down at him.

"Apart from kissing you" he smirks, which earns him a shoulder punch, "I don't want you to be scared or worried and I need to be here to protect my little family. I can't wait till peanuts here!" he says stroking my stomach.

"Me neither but I'm sure when he or she is here, we'll be wishing we'd had a few more months of lie ins and child free time."

"True, I don't want to share you just yet. I'm really sorry about last year, but I feel like we've grown so close these past few months and I want to prove how much I love you. Kayla, I cannot see myself loving anyone else but you, please will you take me back?" he says not taking his eyes off me.

I nod as he wipes a tear away from cheek, I nod. "Of course I will. I love you too; I suppose I better make some wardrobe space for you!" I giggle.

"Shit, are we really doing this?!" he says tickling my sides.

"Seems like we are" I grin.

"You won't regret it, I swear" he says, leaning up to kiss me.

"I better not" I smirk, kissing him again.

My phone buzzes,

From: Freddie

"Open your front door! x"

I get off Luke and grin, I hadn't seen Freddie for a few weeks just because we'd both been busy, and he hadn't been able to make it today because he'd been at work.

I open the front door as Freddie flings his arms around me.

"WOW, you've got massive" he murmurs into my hair.

"Hello to you too!" I laugh.

"How are you gorgeous?" he smiles, as I walk him through to the living room.

"Yeah, I'm good, stopped having morning sickness, and Luke's just moved in" I look at him and then at Luke not wanting a row. Freddie wasn't Luke's biggest fan after the whole art show thing but Freddie had promised no drama and he'd be there for me.

"Well, as long as you're sure" he eyes me warily and then looks at Luke, "don't fuck up this time" he says before sitting down.

"I won't, I swear, it's serious this time round" Luke smiles.

"Anywho, to what do we owe this pleasure?" I smirk towards Freddie.

"Just hadn't seen you for a while, is it a crime?" Freddie raises his eyebrows.

"Not at all, I'm glad! I've missed you! Oh my god, I forgot to tell you I felt the baby kick the other day, it was absolutely amazing!" I babble, Freddie stares at my face and doesn't reply. "What? Have I got something on my face?" I say wiping my face with the back of my hand.

"No, I've just never seen you so .... glowing" he grins.

"I've got everything to be happy about" I smile to Luke, just as his phone goes, he gets up and takes it outside.

"Are you 100% happy with Luke?" Freddie says moving next to me.

"Yeah, I genuinely am Freds" I grin, "don't worry; I know how much we hurt each other but it's different now. I've finished placement and I'm getting the occasional modelling job, they said I can have more when I'm not pregnant, we've now moved into our own apartment, it's me, him and peanut against the world" I say stroking his hand with my thumb.

"As long as you're happy, so am I" he says, kissing the top of my head. "Right I'm gonna go, but promise we'll meet for coffee next week?"

"Of course" I smile as he gets up, he tells me he can see his self out.

I start scrolling through twitter as Luke comes back in and sits next to me. I see a tweet off him saying "guys, i've got something important to tell you." then "I've got a new girlfriend"

I laugh as I see lots of tweets saying how he dare move on when I'm having his child and messages to that effect.

"You best put them out their misery! Who was on the phone?" I look up at him.

"I will" he laughs, "just pausing for effect! It was Beau, apparently he wants me to go round now, but I don't want to leave you alone"

"Don't worry, you can go! Or how about I come with you, I can just chat with Gina? Ohhh and we can also pick Tink up from Georgia tomorrow, I miss her!" I say cuddling into him.

He's tapping away on his phone, then replies, "of course we can baby, anything for you" my phone buzzes.

"Chill guys, me and @michaelaxo are back together ... for good this time :)"
