Chapter 18 - Just friends?

Chapter 18.

I open my eyes and look at him, he's also been working out, I look towards Georgia, "You want to talk to him Kayla?" I nod and she stands up, "I'll be just in the door" she eyeballs Luke.

He sits down at the end of my sun lounger just looking at me, I want to kiss him so bad and tell him everything will be okay.

"How was your flight?" he starts, his hands are clasped I can tell he's nervous.

"Long" I reply biting my bottom lip.

"I thought I was dreaming when I saw you last night" he lets out a fake laugh.

"Georgia said the same. I thought it would be a nice surprise" I shrug.

"It was, of course it was but I literally had no idea you were coming over" he looks away.

"Luke, stop being so nervous. It's fine" I gulp, "I give you the free pass, I just didn't expect to see one of them face to face"

"It's not fine, Beau told me you cried" he looks hurt.

"I'm going to kill him" I mutter.

"Why? He's looking out for you, you don't need to lie to me though" he takes my hand.

"I'm not lying. Yes I had a cry about it because it was a shock, I was overtired and I just wanted to crawl into bed in your arms and sleep but that didn't happen. But I suggested you have fun, and you did" I squeeze his hand back.

"I just got lonely, then we went to a party and she came onto me" he shrugs.

"I think it just hurts more because it's the same girl more than once" I look away from him. "How many times?"

"It doesn't matter, all that matters is you're here now" he pulls my face towards him, as much as I want to pounce on him, I pull away.

"I can't Luke, yes it does matter" I sigh.

"A few" he whispers.

"So you obviously like this girl? What's her name?" I ask.

"Kinda, sorta, I suppose I care for her slightly, and she's called Chantel" he says quietly.

I take my hand out of his and slide my promise ring and engagement ring off, "What are you doing?!" he panics.

"Letting you be free for a bit longer, I love you so much but it's obvious you needed this, just please don't rub it in my face" I unhook my necklace, the one Luke gave me with my scan and pregnant belly picture and slide the rings on.

"Okay" he nods, he moves and puts my necklace back on, my heart aches that he didn't put up a fight, he leans and kisses my neck a few times, "Just please spend the night with me tonight?"

"I can't sleep with you Luke, when you're not mine and not being completely faithful to me" I sigh leaning back into him.

"Just stay the night please" he begs.

I nod, "Okay"

"Can I kiss you just once more, it hurts seeing you but not being able to touch you" he puts his hand on my face, sitting back down next to me.

I've tried to resist but I nod and he leans forward, lips on mine, our tongues caressing each other's, I can't deny I've missed this, missed him, "I've missed you" he murmurs against my lips voicing my thoughts, "when do you go home?"

I pull away, "I, erm, don't. I'm here now, I can model still, the company has an LA branch."

"Shit this is going to be hard, I thought you were going back" he sighs.
