Chapter 25 - First date?

Chapter 25.

We're on the way to the gym, I'd rather be in bed to be quite honest, I've got my head against the window with my eyes closed until I feel someone poke my stomach.

"What?" I mutter eyes still closed, I feel the poke in my side, I open my eyes and see Jai.

"I need to talk to you" he whispers.

"What about?" I whisper back.

"I'll talk to you later" he says, putting his arm around my shoulder, I snuggle into him. I have a lot of love for Jai, I thought he might distance himself from me with everything that's going on with me and Luke but he hasn't, I'm glad though.

"What we doing tonight then gang" I hear Beau infront of us.

"Ermmm, wanna go for something to eat? Or a game of bowling?" Georgia suggests.

"I'm, um, busy" Luke says avoiding all eye contact with me, I sink a bit lower into Jai.

"Ooooooooohhhhhhh" James grins at him, Katie punches him in the arm to shut him up.

"Bowling sounds good" Skip pipes up.

"We're here" Jacob shouts as he halts the van.

I link with Jai as I get out heading into the gym.

"You okay?" he murmurs just loud enough for me to hear.

"Yeah" I smile brightly, even though my heart aches about what will be happening later.

"Just get it out in this work out session" he chuckles, I laugh with him as we get inside the gym.

The boys head to the matted area to wait for Marc and I get started running on the treadmill, I put my earphones in and shut out the world. I see Marc out the corner of my eye, he waves and I wave back, I see the girls grinning from their treadmills. After about 20 minutes, I slow it down to a walk and then stop to top up my water.

"Fancy seeing you here" I hear Marc behind me, I turn round to face him and laugh.

"You're so cheesy!" I smirk.

"You just make me nervous" he admits.

"Me?! Why?" I laugh.

"I dunno, you just do! Everytime I see you I feel shy" he blushes.

"Wow this is a different side to you I never knew existed!" I gulp some water down.

"There's a lot about me you don't really know" he says.

"And that's why you want to ask me on a date?" I laugh.

"What? How did you know?" he gasps.

"Erm, you told Luke, of course he's going to tell me. But yes, I would love to" I grin.

"Oh brill, pick you up about 8?" he grins back.

"Oh wow, you're eager. I actually have plans with the gang tonight" I shrug.

"OH I'VE JUST REMEMBERED. TONIGHTS CANCELLED" Georgia shouts from across the room.

I laugh, "Guess I'm free then? 8pm it is."

"It's a date" he beams and walks off.

I go to the mats to do stomach crunches and Katie comes over to join.

"What are you going to wear?" she smiles.

"I dunno but I'm pretty sure everyone but Luke is more excited about this than me" I chuckle.

"Maybe but it'll do you good. It's only for a little bit" she smiles.

"Anyway you need to get this wedding on track" I grin.
