At the age of 45 Amelia Hart passed away in her sleep. He husband Logan had gone to wake her up when she didn't respond he knew at that moment that the love of his life was gone for good. He called the ambulance and they arrived minutes later. His children were very confused as to what was going on. When they arrived at the hospital they took her into a room still trying to get her heart started again. The doctor still tried even though she knew that her patient of 6 months was gone the minute they got the call saying she wasn't breathing.

Logan and his children sat in the waiting room not speaking. His children were afraid to speak up because they knew their father was upset. They didn't want to disturb him as they waited to hear the news. They decided to go outside for some fresh air. They left their father alone in the waiting room.

Dr. Ward came out and walked over to her patients husband Logan. She hadn't met their children since they never came to any of the doctor visits. She had met Amelia's husband because he had gone with her when they found out the devastating news.

Dr. Ward knelt down in front of Logan and lightly shook him. She was met with his eyes that were red and puffy from crying. This was her least favorite part of her job.

"Logan, I have news on you wife Amelia" She rested her hand on his shoulder

"She's gone isn't she?" Logan shook his head tearing up again

"I am so sorry Logan but she's gone" She pulled him in for a hug as he started to cry harder

"Did you ever tell your children?" Dr. Ward asked Logan

"It was never the right time and Amelia didn't want them to be sad in her last few months" Logan told Dr. Ward

"I'll leave you to talk with them. I suggest you take them into a room alone and tell them the news. Please call me if you ever need anything ok?" Dr. Ward asked

"I will, thank you Dr. Ward" Logan said

"No problem take care" She replied and walked away

All three of the children walked back into the hospital and saw their father sitting in the same place they left him. They approached him and asked him what happened to their mother. Logan told them to follow him and he lead them into a room.

Logan took a deep breath before telling them everything. He started by telling them about the first doctors visit 6 months ago. They had found out 6 months ago that Amelia had an unresectable brain tumor and only had about 5-8 months left to live. He continued on telling them the reason they didn't tell their children.

By the time Logan had explained everything to them they were all crying. Hazel went to comfort her father while the two boys, Hunter and Jackson, hugged each other tight.

A few days later a funeral was held. Everyone showed up. Amelia's husband and three children. Lexi, Brendan, and their child Maggie. Evelyn, Jake, and their two children Sarah and Sam. Peyton, Anthony, and their son Caleb. Chance, Tessa, and their daughter Carly. Lydia, Brendan N, and their daughter Katie. Mark, Kylie, and their son Landon. George, Erika, Alex, Max. Amelia's mother and the rest of her family came. Alex's family also came.

Logan was cleaning out what used to be Amelia's closet when a shoe box fell from the top shelf. He picked it up and took off the cover. Inside Logan found pictures of them together and family pictures. He also found a letter, a letter addressed to him. He opened the letter and started reading it.

Dear Logan,

We were told a few months ago that I wasn't going to have much time left. I didn't want to tell our children because I didn't want to get the looks from them that say they're sorry for you' I didn't want them to look or treat me differently. I had never expected any of this to happen. In fact when I was 20 years old I thought I had met the love of my life and the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Oh how I was wrong. I had thought I wanted Alex to be my husband and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. But I didn't, I wanted all of that with you. And I had all of that with you. You gave me a family. You gave me a life. You gave me a universe. The life that I created with you was all I ever wanted. You are what I wanted. It was only a few days ago that I was sitting in our living room watching you with our children. I was realizing for the first time since I was told I didn't have much longer to live that I had lived my life the way I wanted. I had gotten lucky to have lived this wonderful life. I wouldn't ever want to imagine my life without you. And I'm sorry that you'll have to life your life without me. If I could I would make it so that we could be together forever so I could tell you everyday how much I love you and the family we made. I would do anything to relive our journey together. I still remember the first time you contacted me. I just got off my plane and I got an Instagram notification that you wanted to meet up sometime since I had just moved to LA. I said to myself Why not? I was new to LA and I could use some new friends. I wanted a fresh start and that is exactly what you gave me. I recall that one day I told you that I would love you till my last breath, that is what I did. I will continue loving you even though I may not physically be with you. I could never ask for better because when I'm with you there is no better. My life couldn't have been better. I am proud of you. I am so proud of you for raising our children. You were the absolute best thing that ever happened to me. This is not goodbye, this is simply a see you later. I'm not really leaving you. You know how I'm not? It's because I will always be In Your Heart and you will always be In My Heart

Love,

Amelia Hart
