A few days before Elvis' 11th birthday his mother Gladys took Elvis to pick out his birthday present for that year. Elvis really wanted a new bike that year but Gladys could not get Elvis the bike that he wanted that year but was able to get him a guitar that year. Gladys told Elvis that she was going to get him a guitar that year.Gladys thought that Elvis would like the guitar that she was looking at that day. Even though Elvis wanted the bike that he saw he chose the guitar for his birthday gift that year.(Elvis still got the bike that he wanted for his birthday that year)
After Elvis got they guitar for his birthday. Elvis would bring the guitar with him to school each day to play at recess each day.Elvis loved playing for the kids at school.Elvis would play until the bell rang for him to go back to class.
