The Girl Who Was Forgotten

chapter 1- Train Rides

As I walked though the train I began to wish that I had arrived earlier, because of my mothers constant stalling I was the last person on the train and all the stalls were full!

Stupid Mum, she wouldn't even let me get a pet! everywhere I look there's an owl or other creature... I'm gonna come back home with a unicorn! Ha that will show her.

As I reached the end of the train I held my breath, I REALLY didn't want to be stuck in the corridor the whole trip.

 I reached the last stall I was overcome with relief! there was only to people in it. as I opened the door the two of them stopped there conversation to look at me " hi... um ... i was wondering if I could sit here everywhere else is full?" i spluttered GOD I had to work on my people skills.

"Sure" said the girl moving over motioning for me to sit next to her. As I sat down I finally took them in the girl who was sitting next to me had light strawberry blonde hair and bright green eyes, she was quite pretty compared to me with my long blond hair, small squinty brown eyes my noes is to long for my face and when I push my head back I have a double chin! Okay so I know I'm average looking but I'm not fabulous, I, like most people judge myself to harshly)

the boy who was sitting across from me had fairly long back hair( that was kind of greasy) with black eyes to match. He had already changed into his Hogwarts robes which looked slightly big for him but just enough so that he had enough room to grow into them in the next year, unlike me who's robes would probably fit me in till 7th year.he seemed to have trouble looking at me full on, he probably was as good with people as I was.

"I'm Lilly Evans" she said extending her hand "I'm Mia Birsa" I replied taking her hand. When she realized that the boy was staring into space had said nothing she lightly tapped his shin with her foot "hmmm?" he said being pulled back into reality " introduce yourself silly!" she said giggling " Severus Snape" he said finally looking directly at me " Mia" I said as I extended my hand, he shook it hesitantly.  

As the train began to leave the station they Began talking about someone called Petunia, I wasn't really paying attention because I was to busy looking out the window. I had never been on a train before and I was surprised how fast it was going, I mean I knew they were fast but I had no idea it wasn't like this! 

"What about you Mia?" asked Lilly Pulling me out of my amazement " I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention" I said "I swear your as bad as Severus, do -"    " - I listen to you!" exclaimed Severus cutting her of.  "sure you do, now as I was saying... Do you have any siblings?" she asked as she pulled her fringe out of her eyes.

"Sadly no, I've always wanted one though... My Father left my Mum when she was pregnant... And she never really found someone else so no siblings here" I replied... Now that I think about it perhaps that's why she hated the wizarding world maybe it had something to do with my Father.

"Trust me they can be annoying" said Lilly smiling, I noticed Severus smirk in the Corner of my eye so it must of been and inside joke. "Oh Petunia can be more then annoying"  said Severus as he sat up strait for the first time, "but she can be nice as well Severus,"  Lilly said playfully glaring at him, they obviously have been friends for a while now.

A little while after we got some sweets from the trolley (which might I say wizard sweets are incredibly weird, I mean I thought I was getting a chocolate frog and it jumped away!) two boys walked into our stall which was very weird.  "hi I'm James Potter, and this is Sirius" he said jerking his head to the other boy, they both had a arrogant look to them expessaly how they just sat down in the stall with no invitation. Rude.

"So what house do you want to get sorted into," he said looking at me, ignoring the glares we were giving him. "I don't know much about the houses so I don't mind" I said doing my best to make my tone quite clear that i did not like this boy "what about you?  James, was it? if you had a choice were would you go?" asked Severus.

"Gryffindore, where dwell the brave of heart! like my dad" noticing Severus's smirk he added "got a problem with that?"  "No, if you'd rather be brawny instead of brainy-" "where are you hoping to go, seeing your neither?" cut in the boy named Sirius. "come on Severus, lets go find another compartment" said Lily dragging him by his arm "you coming Mia?"  She said glancing at me when she realized I hadn't moved. I nodded and quickly got up, I couldn't stand being with these twats any longer. 

Walking to the door I made extra care to step on both of their feet, using them almost like stepping stones. At the door of the compartment I stuck my tongue out at them and then joined Lilly and Severus.

Once we found a compartment near the middle of the train, how did I miss it when I was first looking for a place to sit? Anyway we sat down and made idle small talk. Lilly and myself changed ( Severus walked out of the compartment when we did) and thankfully neither of them commented on how large my robes looked on me. 

Lilly was randomly shaking me. Oh I must of fallen asleep DUH. "Whas goin on?" I yawned stretching my arms up causing my sleeves to fall down to my shoulders. She simply pointed out the window.

We had arrived at Hogwarts
