The Girl Who Was Forgotten

Chapter 3- the Grand tour

Once the feast had ended we all went of to our commonrooms, Lucius showed us first-years the way to the commonroom, first we traveled down a fairly short hallway, then we went to what Lucius called the main Hallway but it was like no other hallway I had ever seen but then again what do you call a room  full of moving staircases? " mind your step" called Lucius to the group " the stairs tend to change-"

"WE FIGURED THAT!" called a girl behind us when I turned around to look at her the first thing I noticed was her frizzy black hair, but it seemed to suit her I couldn't recall her name though. "- don't worry you will learn their pattern soon enough" he continued as if he never heard her.

We kept going down the stairs, we had to wait a couple of times for the stairs to reach us but I didn't mind because it gave more time to stare at the paintings, they were moving but it seemed that it was normal in the wizarding world because no one seemed fazed by it. Wierd

After what seemed like 30 flights of stairs, which I guess wasn't that bad considering the stairs kept moving downwards, we finally exited the 'great hallway' and walked quickly through the hallway that seemed to be made of stones, I shivered thinking about all the dungeons in story's my Mum told me when I was little "this place is creepy' I whispered to Severus who smirked " I don't find it creepy but there are to many hallways" he whispered back as we turned right, I giggled at him, trying to keep the conversation going "what do you know the girl with the frizzy black hair?" I asked him, it was bothering me that I couldn't remember.

He glanced back at her trying to be inconspicuous," oh shes Bellatrix Black...why" he replied, at least he payed attention to the sorting ceremony "no reason it was just bothering me I couldn't remember" "oh...She wasn't called in the sorting though," "She wasn't?" "Nope I just knew her name because I heard her tell someone." I giggled at him causing a few people so glare at me. 

We finally stopped but I couldn't see a thing " can you see anything?" I asked him as I stood on my tippy-toes. "nope" he replied popping the 'P' not even bothering to try to look over everyone. 

"OK, can you guys at the back hear me?" Lucius's voice boomed with perfect clarity a mumble came from the back which obviously meant yes "good, most students believe that this is a dead end, except us Slytherins..." He said this with a air of mystery,  "because this is the entrance to our commonroom, all you have to do is come to this wall and utter the password which will change every fortnight, I will show you the notice bored that will have the password written on it as we enter but for the next two weeks the password is SALAZAR!" 

Once he said the password the bricks that stood before us ( or at least what I could see of them) all shifted to form as hole the size of a door slightly like the entrance to Diagon Ally and we walked through.

The room was fairly large and had a greenish light to it, and the windows seemed to be underwater! "The Slytherin Commenroom is actually submerged in the Black lake" he said sounding like a tour guide "You can see its depths though these windows." A dark shadow passed the windows making me jump "It seems that the giant squid has paid us a visit" he said laughing at how we all jumped. "Wait we sailed or whatever across the lake with A GIANT SQUID IN IT ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US?!" called some kid that was talking with that Bellatrix before "I'm not allowed to answer that question" replied Lucius with an evil grin. 

"OK I think that's all I need to tell you, when you decide to go to your dorms girls are on that door to the right over there, and the boys are on the opposite side on the left of the room. feel free to hang in the commen in till you feel like retiring, your belongings are already in your rooms, so unless theres any questions? no? ok I'll be off now" and with that he headed into the doorway on the left. 

Most of the others flocked to there rooms... probably to claim there beds or whatever but Severus and I lingered. He sat down on a black leather couch across from the fireplace.Now that I had a chance to look at the room properly it seemed that most of the room was decorated in green, silver and black, with the logo here and there. 

"The energy seems so cold in here" I said as I sat down next to Severus rubbing me arms covered in Goose-flesh( Goose-pimples whatever you want call them). Severus took out his wand and pointed it at the fireplace "Insendio" sparks flew out of him wand and hit the fire place causing the wood to catch fire. 

"Please don't tell me we're supposed to know how to do magic already" I said almost whining at him "nah, I was just bored and I have most of my mothers old magic books so..." he trailed of as he seemed to be reliving a memory or thinking deeply. 

After a few seconds he blinked and realized I was still sitting here "sorry" he muttered " 's Okay," I whispered back, this common room while empty was one of those places you find yourself whispering.

We just sat there staring at the fire, not awkwardly though, it was nice having someone to hang with even if he was just as un-social as I was... maybe that's why I found him so interesting.

As I looked at him I noticed that to most people he would be what you call Un-attractive, I mean, his hair was quit greasy, and he was so pale he could pass as a vampire ( well what I believe they look like)he was quite thin and stringy and his teeth were crooked and a bit yellow, I couldn't care less on what he looks like but there was something about his energy that pulsed with something I've never seen. 

This Boy was different, and I think  could deal with that because I was too.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AUTHORS NOTE!: Hi everyone, I hope you've enjoyed this chapter it took a lot of research to get the details of the Slytherin commons, I've been listening a lot to AVPM and AVPS songs today so im thinking of trying to put a few references in it so I'll try not to make a mess of that ;) 

so keep your eyes open and you may see some totally awesome references
