The Girl Who Was Forgotten

Chapter 5- Engery

I don't know how long I've been able to feel energy's, I don't remember every NOT being able to do it so i probably was Born with it, but as young I always assumed that everyone else could but when i was around 4 I figured it out. 

" MUMMY!" I called out that morning, i had got up early to feed our goldfish named Goldy ( yes very original, but i was 4 and named him myself). " What is it?" my mother said as she walked out of her room still half asleep " Goldy is floating" I said holding back tears, i knew he was dead but i couldn't say it.

" ohhh dear, ummm he's sleeping" she said, she was probably planning on swapping him with another goldfish later. " NO I'm not silly... his energy is gone" I stated loudly. "Yes that's why his sleeping"  she said not understanding, how could she though.

" No his ENERGY, like your energy is a little bit sad and confused, and that girl who looks after me energy is happy and sleepy like. Goldy was happy most of the time but now theres no energy... He's gone to heaven." 

My mother stood in front of me with her mouth slightly open, staring at me. Ignoring I scooped him out of his bowl and walked to the toilet and gave him a proper flushing. after I stood there looking at the now empty toilet bowl, she took me by the hand and led me to the couch and sat me down next to her.

" how long have you been able to feel energys Mia? she asked me with a worried look in her eyes.

" Since forever"  I told her shrugging. 

Since that day she took me to church every week, at first she had me talk to the priest after the service, but as if that did anything. It was odd to find out my mother was a witch because she had always been so superstitious.

i never talked to anyone about my particular sense again, but i always felt it, the life of everything around me. That's why now as I saw Lilly talking with a professor i was highly confused this woman's energy was different from anything  had seen. 

" OH there you are! Severus, Mia this is professor Marietta" she said as we walked up to her.

" hello there" she said in a smooth voice as she shook Severuses hand, " hi" i said shyly taking her outstretched hand as soon as i touched her she gasped and i quickly withdrew, this woman's energy was unnerving.

"You have the sight my dear" she whispered so know one could around us could hear. 

"What?" "I have it to so that's why I know" she said almost rushing, " please come see me after classes today in my office in the astronomy tower" she said before rushing off.

"that was officially weird" said Severus chuckling " w-w-who was she a-a-anyway?" asked Quirrell, i had almost forgot he was with us. " Lilly this is Quirrell" I said trying to pretend that terrifying incident never happened.

" Hi Quirrell" she said smiling at him "that was Professor Marietta she teaches Divination, and she is quite weird i guess considering" she finished, looking at me. Then she did the weirdest thing she randomly touched my face saying creepily " you have the sight my dear" Imitating That creepy woman. 

Laughing i knocked her hand away lightly " come on we need to go to class" I said trying to change the subject. "H-h-hey Lilly d-do you know t-t-the way?"  asked Quirrell looking at his timetable.

" Come on" said Lilly rolling her eyes. and then started running down to the main corridor laughing, and we couldn't help but run after her laughing as well.
