"Dad!" Allison yelled and ran over to Chris, the door was open and there was a trail of blood leading to his unconscious body. I listened for a heart beat and was relieved when I heard one.

"He's still alive" I said and helped Isaac lift him up and put him on the couch. "Where ever he went he wasn't welcomed there, Allison do you guys have a first aide kit?" I asked her.

"Yeah one sec" She said still shaken at the thought that he father might of been dead.

"I thought you guys weren't going to come back" Issac said from beside me.

"Of course we were Isaac, this is where we grew up, this is our home" I said.

"You guys think you will always stay here?" He asked.

"Yeah, like I said it's our home" I told him.

"But what about when you guys decide to have a family, would you be willing to put your children at risk here in Beacon Hills" He asked. That question is something I've never thought about. Do I want to someday have a family with Derek? Would I stay in Beacon Hills if I did? My question is, is why is Isaac so interested.

"I haven't given that much thought to be honest, why do you wanna know?" I asked.

"Because, I haven't been a part of the supernatural for a long time and it just seems there is one life threatening problem after the next" He said.

"It does feel that way, but someone has to protect the town, and if that's Derek and I then so be it" I said.

"Have you guys even talked about it?" Isaac asked.

"About what?" I asked him "Children?" he nodded.

"It just seems that since you guys both have so little family that you would want to build the Hale name you know." He said. Jesus Christ Isaac stop it.

"I don't, Isaac I don't think I want kids, not that I don't like them, I love kids, I just, I guess it's out of fear. Fear of them being involved in this life, the supernatural. Even out of Beacon Hills they will be a werewolf, hunters will still exist, I don't think I could give this life to someone. And if something were to happen to them, I wouldn't be able to live with myself, let alone Derek." I said.

"Does Derek know this?" He asked.

"Isaac what's up with all the questions?" I asked him.

"I was just thinking, when those things were going to come after me, how protective you were, of me, of the pack, how caring you are. You'd be a good mother, you remind me of mine" He said. I didn't get a chance to reply because Allison came into the room, I had to wipe the stray tear the fell down my face.

"I found it" Allison said and gave it to me. I walked over to Chris on the couch and shook him.

"Argent!" I yelled still shaking him. He groaned and eventually he woke up.

"Dad, what the hell happened?" Allison asked.

"I passed out" He said. I deadpanned.

"We saw that, how'd you pass out?" I asked him.

"The people I went to see didn't want to see me" He said. I started to clean up the wound on his head.

"What happened?" I asked. "Start from the beginning"

Argent launched into a story about his first gun deal in Japan. How he witnessed them go after someone there.

"Who did they go after?" Isaac asked.

"A kumicho. A yakuza boss. It was my first gun deal. I was only 18 and it was supposed to be a simple exchange. Except Gerard left out the minor detail of the buyers being yakuza. He wanted to see if I could adapt in the moment. Testing my ability to improvise." Chris said.
