When We Were Young : Part 3

Chapter 30

Third Person

"She should be up by now, what happened to her?" Scott asked as they all sat on the couch as Melissa was checking Stiles upstairs, to see if he was real. 

"We don't know what the nogitsune did to her" Deaton said. "Has anyone gotten a hold of Derek?" 

"No not yet, I'm going to try again." Scott said.

Derek had just gotten in the elevator leaving Chris's apartment still somewhat in shock from what just happened. He and Chris both knew that if the nogitsune can do something like take over their minds for a short period of time then it's stronger than ever. When the elevator doors closed Derek checked his phone which has been on silent the whole time he was trying to kill Chris. 10 missed calls from Scott and from other various people. The first person he called was Haley but he wasn't expecting the person who answered. 

"Derek" Scott answered on Haley's phone. 

"Scott? Where's Haley?" He asked suddenly worried. 

"We've been trying to get a hold of you. The nogitsune took Lydia. Haley's fine but she's been passed out; the nogitsune did something to her." Scott said. 

"I'm on my way" Derek said.

When Derek arrived at Scott's he also tried to wake Haley but she wasn't budging. He looked over at Deaton hoping he would have some answers. 

"She knows Derek. The nogitsune told her then I told her the rest. She doesn't know about the current state of her father though" Deaton said. 

"What are you guys talking about?" Scott asked. 

"Long story" Deaton said. 

"You think it has something to do with what he did?" Derek asked frustrated he didn't know what was happening to Haley and the fact she knows everything now. 

"Most likely, we'll know for sure if or when she wakes up" Deaton said. 

"I'll take her home" Derek said and lifted her up bridal style "Keep me updated" He said talking about Lydia and Stiles and with a nod from Scott he left.

Once he got back to the loft he gently set Haley on the bed making sure she was comfortable. He looked down at her face, she looked peaceful, but he knew something was happening in her head, something bad. 

"I know your angry with me, and you have a right to be but I need you to wake up okay, just open your eyes Haley" He begged her. He held her hand and rested by her side until she woke up. 

Haley's POV

I woke up in the woods. They weren't the woods in Beacon Hills but they were so familiar. I don't know how long I've been walking or how long I've even been here. There's something about these woods though, it's way too quiet. No birds no little animals making any sound everything was silent. Suddenly a piercing scream echoed through the woods, it wasn't as loud as a Lydia scream but it was definitely  enough to get me running in that general direction. 

I ended up stopping when I saw a lady not so much older than me. She had jet black long hair and she had blood all over her.

"Hey are you alright?" I asked her but she didn't answer me. "Miss?" 

There was the sound of a twig cracking under somebodies feet, someone was close. "Hey we have to move, someone is coming you have to get up" I said but she wouldn't budge it was like I didn't even exist. I walked up to her crouched figure and tried to touch her but when I did my hand went right through her.
