As the darkened nighttime slowly shifted into the relaxing morning hours, the raven-haired male stirred from his deepened slumber in the large, softened bed that he shared with his boyfriend, Beck, for about a month or two now. He wasn't a graceful person in the morning, especially when first waking up, but to his delight, when his emerald-hued eyes flickered open and caught sight of the small alarm clock that sat on the side table beside the bed, Henry couldn't help but notice that it was still pretty early and the group breakfast wouldn't be going on for the next few hours yet. To the hybrid, this was a breath of relief for him, knowing that if he got up now, he would certainly be a grump and he would regret it later, without a doubt, for acting like a stubborn asshole to his significant other, his best friend, his brother or anyone in the manor for that matter. Of course, some people didn't mind being a grump to others in the morning, but he wouldn't dare mention any specific names ( Rebecca and Hyde ) for the sake of their high reputation in their family. He didn't like to be mean to people though, especially to Beck, these days after their group had been through so much pain and torment. Speaking of the brown-haired male, Henry could feel the tall feline-hybrid's arms wrapped securely around him, the warmth of his boyfriend's chest pressed against his back. Henry wouldn't want to wake up any other way, to be honest, though he would never admit that out loud. There were many things that the hybrid thought and felt about people, especially him, but emotions were not the wolf's strong suit. Rebecca knew this the most because of how close they were during the years that they were together. This made Henry think for a while in the blissful silence that went through the room with the exception of Beck's softened breathing, He wondered what his old self would think if he saw how things were now - in a gay relationship with Rebecca's brother, in a new manor, with an older brother and even a new look to call his own. There were so many various changes that had happened in his life through this year, but deep down, Henry liked all these changes. He loved them, to be more frank with the thoughts. The hybrid was now happier than he had ever been in his entire life being with Beck and having this place to call their own, he liked seeing Rebecca's smile when things were going well for everyone, he liked getting all the brotherly head pats from Hyde, the one that he called his own older brother these days. These were all things, small things, that he woke up each day to appreciate and love with all he could give. His ears twitched silently for a few seconds as he gave a low sigh and proceeded to let his eyes fall shut once more, taking in the pure bliss of this very moment as he laid here in the warmth of his lover's embrace in a home that was safe and sound from the dangers of the human world, where all his family and friends laughed and bonded every hour.
From the moment he closed his eyes, Beck, who was still behind him, began to stir awake, mumbling several things under his breath in a sleepy fashion that made Henry hold back a smile from forming on his face so that his boyfriend wouldn't know that he was awake like him. Beck, like Henry, was not one to show many emotions around people, but in his eyes, the raven-haired hybrid always thought Beck was even more quiet and isolated than he was at times, usually having a distant, pensive look in his eyes and not saying much in general. The younger male, of course, did not mind this and found it to be relaxing when they could just lay in a peaceful silence together for a long period of time when most people would find it to be mostly awkward and try to start a conversation. Henry did, however, often wonder what Beck thought about in that pensive mind of his - what did he truly think of him? It was a foolish thing to be thinking about, mostly due to the fact that it was Beck that fell for him first and made the first move, so he obviously had true feeling. However, it had been three or four full months now since they had finally gotten together in a serious relationship fashion. Did he ever regret having the canine-hybrid as a boyfriend? It was not healthy for him to think about things like this, Henry knew that, especially due to it being so early in the morning. In hindsight, it would most likely just put him in a depressed mood that Beck would question until he found out what was going through his mind, that happened way too much in the past and Henry was certain that those events would take place. His thoughts were soon put away as Henry was taken back to the present due to the fact of Beck's grip around him tightening ever so slightly - it was not painful nor uncomfortable, it just took the raven-haired hybrid by surprise for a few long seconds as his heartbeat quickened within his chest. The two of them often did not wear shirts to bed, so the skin-to-skin contact was just making the whole experience harder to bear with being silent and act like he was still casually sleeping. Beck rested his chin on the smaller male's shoulder gently while nuzzling the canine-hybrid softly, a lightened purr erupting from the feline-hybrid, which made Henry's face heat up slightly with embarrassment, but he kept his silence self-control despite this. There was another series of silent moments like this until it furthered. "I love you so much.." Beck murmured, his tone quiet and barely heard. The hybrid almost returned the words back, but held his tongue, having a hunch that Beck was just trying to see if he was actually awake right now. Overall though, Henry was touched that Beck would say something like this, even though there was a chance that he would still be asleep.
