"We should've made it a costume party because of Halloween being around the corner." I said, gnawing on one of my fingernails as I looked out the window that was behind my large wooden desk and out into the lush forest that surrounded the backyard of the manor, "Eh, I suppose it's too late to do that now. It would only make everything more of a hassle." It was quiet and peaceful as I sat there in my chair for a long time, tapping my chin as I found myself lost in thought while coming up with ideas for this big dance. Hyde walked over to me in his feral form and sat down beside me, looking out the window for a moment before his gaze shifted over to me. "I sent out that letter to their room like you asked." He said, making my expression turn from pensive to happy as one of my hands went down to stroke the large wolf's head. He seemed to fawn over my touch, taking that as silent praise until I spoke once again, this time directed towards the male. "Thank you, love. Henry will most likely be here in the next five minutes or so, judging by the urgency that was displayed in the text he sent me." I said as I turned in my seat, facing towards my desk and scooting up to the surface so I could gain access to my computer. "I'll have to trust my older brother when it comes to cooking for breakfast this morning. It wasn't the wisest choice I've ever made, but I would like to not worry about preparing food for everyone once and awhile, you know?" The hellhound simply gave a low grunt of agreement to this, which was expected from him. "Perhaps I should teach you to cook so you can do it for me," I said, a small smirk curling onto my lips, making Hyde roll his eyes and look at me with a slight frown upon his maw. "Would you seriously trust me, a commander of fire, to cook in a kitchen? The place would be up in flames in less than a minute." He remarked, his tail swishing across the carpeting behind him as he spoke, "I'll stick with just bringing you your morning cocoa, thank you very much." I simply continued to smile before giving a chuckle at his stubborn behavior towards the slightest hint of him doing any kind of work that involved being away from me. It was a known fact that the hellhound was rather clingy to me, almost always being by my side like some loyal guard dog. In a certain sense, I suppose Hyde was my guard dog, but he was much more than that to me, being my boyfriend first, of course. We went way back in the history of this land, which almost every knew already, once being a darkened creature like Robin or even Morph. Of course, this had been said before and reminded to you all that read this, but sometimes, the smallest of backstory of a character is most important. In the back of my mind, I wondered why I talk to myself like this so much, but it was normal for me.

For a few seconds, I sat there in silence in my leather desk chair, staring off into the distance with a pensive look on my face, but this was nothing new when it came to being around me as a person. To anyone that knows me rather personally, I am known to go deep into my own thought process now and then when things were quiet and nothing truly interesting was going on for the time. Thankfully, after a moment or two, I did proceed to go back to my computer, doing some research on various things involving parties and dances. Now, I know what you are probably thinking - what kind of person needs to do research for a party of all things? Well, I wouldn't normally do something like this, for one, and this was a rather special event that I wanted to be prepared for. Everyone, even characters from different universes, were coming to take part in this celebration and I would like to not have anything go wrong while I maintained my role as the respected leader and creator of such things. A sudden and abrupt knock at the door to my office made me immediately look to Hyde, who exchanged a certain glance and simple nod with me, not needing any command or words to know that he was to get the door. It was usual routine that we had done by now and the hellhound was getting rather good at it, which made me pleased with how things were turning out for all of us at the manor. While he went to go get the person at the door, I went back to work on my desktop without much of a care in the world, my foot tapping against the floor underneath my chair. With the click of the door being heard, Hyde peered out into the spacious hallway to lock eyes with his younger, shorter sibling - Henry Demoric. "Oh, hey there." The hellhound greeted him with a slight nod before opening the door wider so he could walk inside, "You better hope Beck doesn't set the kitchen on fire with Freddie and Charlie while making breakfast for the group." Henry rolled his eyes at the older sibling as he walked past them and into my office, his tail swishing back and forth behind him with each step that he now took. "It wasn't my idea to make Beck in charge of breakfast." The canine-hybrid reminded his brother, "Although, I do appreciate the distraction from me for the time, so thank you for that." Henry's gaze then proceeded to shift over to me, who was typing away on my computer, looking up various things on a search bar to assist me in my current party-planning mood. He stepped over to my desk and sat down in one of the chairs, nervously holding his tail with both hands as my eyes flickered over to him now.
