(I had no regrets when naming this chapter.)
"So, what do you think they'll be serving us for breakfast this morning?" Beck murmured quietly, resting his head against his boyfriend's forehead as the two of them relaxed in the warm of their shared bed, enjoying the comforting touch of one another like they often did when they were alone. The raven-haired hybrid almost had fallen asleep once again since he had woken up this morning, tempted by the softened bedsheets and heavenly scent of his lover going through his powerful senses. However, the taller male's words stirred him from the risk of drifting off once again. "I'm not sure, to be honest.." Henry mumbled, giving a quiet yawn, "Probably just some generic stuff like some omelets or waffles. Rebecca will be busy planning for this so-called dance that she's set on planning in the next few days, so I'm not having my hopes high on anything special when it comes to breakfast and dinner preparations." Henry didn't really mind this though, being happy with a warm plate full of food no matter what it was. He did have preferences, but being someone who lived out in the forest like a wild animal for so long taught him not to be picky when it came to your next meal. A chuckle stirred from Beck at this as he looked at the small male with his gentle emerald-hued eyes, smiling like he usually did when he was with the one he loved most. "That reminds me - do I need to formally ask you to be my date to the dance like it's high school prom or what?" He mentioned with a hint of playful teasing in his tone, "I bet you look really cute in a tuxedo." That last remark made the canine-hybrid roll his eyes ever so slightly. "First of all, I'm not cute." Henry said, narrowing his eyes at his boyfriend, "Secondly, you don't need to ask. I don't believe you have any other option as a date rather than me, Worthington. I'm the best bet you have if you wish to not look like some sort of loser without someone to dance with, you know." Beck simply smiled at this and didn't say anything for a moment. "Fair enough." He finally said, "I wouldn't wish to go with anyone else other than you. I'm afraid I don't know how to dance though." The brown-haired male couldn't remember the last time that he had attempted to dance and never really felt the need to further such things since recently. "Don't worry about that." Henry reassured his boyfriend, his tail wagging softly behind him under the bedcovers, "You can step on my feet all you want and I'll make sure to lead so you aren't too scared." There was a bit of slight teasing in his tone this time around, making Beck smirk and roll his eyes now, "Well, I'm glad I have you."
After a while, all their playful banter and teasing faded off into yet another round of blissful silence between the two males, who had smiles still resting on their faces as they stared at one another. If you met them on the street, you wouldn't believe them to be such close and passionate lovers, but they saved stuff like that for when they were alone. This was due to the fact that in the early stages of their romance, they had to hide from the others of their group, especially their leader, in fear of how they all would react. Of course, things had changed a lot since that time and nearly everyone knew of their attraction to each other, but most of the time, Henry and Beck felt most comfortable when they were alone together. It had taken some people a while to get used to this, meaning Rebecca, who was closest to them, although now, she was seen as the most supportive person when it came to their love and that was more than the truth it seemed. They didn't mind this at all though since Rebecca was Beck's little sister and Henry's closest friend for many years. "I wish we could just stay in bed all day and not get up and have to deal with people." The canine-hybrid proceeded to whimper, closing his eyes, "It's so warm and quiet and peaceful here without the stress of anything to bother us." Henry, throughout the months that he had been dating Beck, had found it to be the most relaxing and stress-free when he was alone with him like this. "Do you think Rebecca would believe us if we both told her that we were too sick to get out of bed?" The older male joked with a small laugh, which made the canine-hybrid smile. "We could certainly try." He retorted, ears twitching from atop his head with slight amusement. However, both of them knew, deep down, that they couldn't stay in bed all day and laze around - which was why they made the most of the time they had now. "We might as well enjoy the peaceful alone time while it lasts, eh?" Beck said, his tone low with a slight purr in his tone, "Wouldn't you agree?" The raven-haired male could sense the suggestive tone in his voice, which made him open his eyes and look at the older male with a smirk. "That depends on what you have in mind," Henry said, his tail wagging more.
