"So, how are things going with Needlescar?" Sproutwhisker abruptly asked Pinewhisker as the young, brown-haired male looked out at the group of creatures that swarmed that area out before them. The male was caught by surprise by this, glancing down at the black-furred tomcat that laid in his lap and now peered up at him with his icy-blue eyes with an unknown softened emotion within them. "Ah, well, I haven't spoken that much to her after the whole thing with your clan letting Shadowclan stay with you after the flood and all." Pine now said to his friend with a slight shrug of his shoulders, though he did not look at Sprout when saying this, looking up and around at anything else. "Do you love her?" The warrior asked him, which made the brown-haired male feel a wave of heated embarrassment wash over his face, but he simply glared down at Sproutwhisker like he had said something ridiculously out of his mind. "What are you even saying, Sprout? No, of course not!" Pine said with his brows furrowing, "We barely know anything about each other and she would hardly fall for a weirdo like me, I mean, she could catch the eye of some handsome tomcat that could sweep her off her paws. I'm just a friend of hers, there's nothing special about me." Sproutwhisker blinked up at his friend for a moment and did not say anything before he gave a softened chuckle with a pained smile, shaking his head now. "You should like me when I first met Talonfang so many moons ago, my friend, and it gives me amusement, to be honest." He said, sitting up on Pinewhisker's lap for a moment, "While you were in the medicine cat den from your injuries in Riverclan, I noticed how much she cared about you, she visited you constantly, did she not? That sounds like more than a friend to me." The black-furred male said and continued before Pine could say anything against such, "I once thought the same thing, you know, that I could never be her mate because I wasn't some strong handsome tomcat. Hell, I was a kittypet and raised by two tomcats as my parents - you don't think I was looked down upon for that growing up? I was a joke to Riverclan, despite all that I tried, but Talonfang still fell in love with me like I did with her and we became something so much more than friends. Don't you dare say that she wouldn't want you because there is nothing special about you." Sproutwhisker than laid down once again as he turned his gaze out to the dancefloor, "My days with my love are gone now, Pine, do me a favor and don't waste any more days that could be potential ones with your own love."
Hawkfeather looked across the table at the two of them for a moment in silence before glancing at Flintheart and then at them once again. "He's right, you know." The other male said while chewing on his lip slightly from nerves, "I know it's hard confessing to your love, dude, but trust me on this - when I confessed to Carcalspirit that day in the main hunting grounds of Windclan in the morning with the sunrise in the background, it was the best damn decision I had ever made. She and I are so happy right now and I think soon I'll ask her if she wants to have children with me." Hawkfeather said with a small smile at Pinewhisker, "You cannot hesitate with this kinda stuff or you're gonna lost her, Pine. Listen, the key thing that the she-cats are into are pure romance, you got to swoon them with roses and moonlight or sunsets like I did. You have to make the moment special or you'll bore them. Next thing you know they're making sweet love with that one handsome tomcat that everyone loves in the clan and bearing their kittens like it's nobody else's business." Pinewhisker's face just turned a deep shade of red at the Windclan male's words and Sproutwhisker shook his head. "A bit less inappropriate than exactly his words, but yeah, what Hawkfeather said. You have to make the moment very special, everyone loves some cliche romance and Needlescar seems like the kind of shecat that would appreciate even the smallest of gestures of love, especially from you and I think everyone can agree with me on that." Flintheart and Hawkfeather nodded to Sproutwhisker's words of advice to the youthful Pinewhisker. "You made your advice sound like it was from your own personal experience." Flintheart mentioned, eyeing the Windclan male beside him with a raise of an eyebrow. "Dude, have you seen my mate? She's, like, the most beautiful shecat in all of Windclan! Do you understand how close I was to losing her to some other tomcat?" He exclaimed with a huff, "This close, Flint, this damn close!" The taller, older male looked at him with an unamused nor interested expression. "I feel so terribly bad for you, I apologize, Hawkfeather." Flintheart simply said before letting his gaze drift back to the dancefloor as he gave a lightened yawn and shake of his head. Pinewhisker, despite all this, was deep in thought for a moment with his face still slightly red. Would Needlescar truly like to have someone as bland and uninteresting to him as a mate someday? He was unsure and truly at a loss at what to do. He wished he had some self-control, but Pinewhisker did love her. He truly did. She was rather different from the other females that he has met and Needlescar was so unique and amazing in his eyes. Everyone always looked down at her due to her scars, she literally got her warrior name after them - what kind of cruel joke was that upon her? The way she blushed and smiled was so cute and made his heart quicken. How could he ever prove himself to someone as great as her? Pinewhisker asked himself this over and over again, thinking over the advice that Sprout and Hawk had given him. The romance was the key, apparently, but he knew nothing about it.
