It was 8 o'cloak in the morning and the two hedgehogs were still asleep when Shadow's phone rang and both hedgehogs woke up from the sound. "Hello this is Shadow" he answered his phone and it was Tails who called. "I'm sorry if I woke you up by calling you so early, but we need to talk" Tails said "I would like to come, but I promised Sonic to train again" Shadow answered. "Oh OK. When do you have time to come over? It's really important and it includes Sonic" Tails said and Shadow was now thinking when he had time to go over "If the training goes well and the test, maybe I can come over real quick" Shadow answered "That would be great. All the others are already here to discuss the subject. Just call me when you're on your way and Sonic may not find out about this or we're doomed and everything we planned will fall in the water" Tails said. After the call the two hedgehogs put on some clothes and went downstairs to get themself something to eat and to prepare themself for the training. This time they were first running some laps as a warming-up and after that they started to do the same exercises they did in the first training, but than twice as difficult. The time they started there training was at 10 o'cloak and now it was 2 o'cloak in the afternoon and they were still training. "OK Sonic, I want you to get angry at me. I want to train your dark form as well" Shadow said and Sonic was shocked by this. He really didn't want to fight Shadow in his dark form, because he was afraid he would loose control and it will get out of hand.
Shadow's pov
I told Sonic to get angry and use his dark form on me and he was shocked that I said that "I don't think that's a good idea Shadow. That form is hard to control and if I loose myself you can get hurt pretty badly and I don't want that to happen" Sonic said. I was a little disappointed when he said that, so there was now only one way to get him that far he has to use it. So that's when I started to play dirty and used my Chaos Emerald to get enough energy for my most powerful attacks. Sonic was trying to dodge every attack, but failed. He got hit by my last attack and was sent a few meters back and hit a few trees. There was a lot of smoke so I couldn't see how he was doing and before I knew it, he had punched me right in the face followed by a very strong kick in the stomach. Now I was sent far back and crashed into a gigantic boulder and started to spit blood. When I looked up Sonic had changed to his dark form and was getting closer really fast, but that wasn't the real problem. He had tears streaming down his face and I didn't know why, until he was standing right in front of me and grabbed me by the throat and hold me off the ground, it was getting hard for me to breath, so I kicked Sonic as hard as I could to get out of his grip and get some distance between us. I didn't saw this one coming and had no other choice to use all my energy and transform to my super form.

"This is going to be fun. Let's see who is the strongest of us, shall we?" Sonic said in his dark form and started smirking. I did not like what he said and was forced to end this fight as soon as possible, otherwise it will get out of hand even worse. So I started fighting Dark Sonic the best I could. Like he said that he was afraid of losing control of his dark form, it already happened and it was all my fault. "I have to get him back to his normal self and fast, but how?" I thought to myself. Then I had an idea and started to run towards him and pretended I was going to attack him, but instead of attacking him I did something else. I got close enough and kissed Dark Sonic passionately in the hope he would calm down and turn back to normal and to my luck it happened. His eyes turned back to emerald green and his fur back to ocean blue. "Uuuuhh what happened and why are you in your super form Shadow?" Sonic asked "You lost control of your dark form and to match that strength I had to go super" I said and Sonic started to tear up "I WARNED YOU FOR THIS AND YOU DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME!!!" Sonic yelled at me while tears went down his face "I know and I'm really sorry" I said. Then he pushed me away angrily and started walking to his house, but on the way he fell to his knees and was breathing heavily "What's happening to me?" Sonic said and was trying to get back to his feet, but couldn't and started shivering. "Your dark form used most of your energy. If you want I can transfer some of mine to you?" I said and he nodded.
Sonic's pov
Shadow walked up to me and turned back to normal "Give me your hand so I can transfer some of my energy to you" Shadow said and so I did as he asked. It felt weird in the beginning, but later on it felt good "It feels good that energy Shad. Thanks for helping me." I said and Shadow nodded and stops transferring his energy to me, because it was enough. I stood up back to my feet and we walked back to my house together. "You take your rest Sonic. You'll need it. I have to go somewhere for maybe a hour, so relax for now. I'll check on you later OK?" Shadow said and I nodded and sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. Before Shadow left he came to me and kissed me on my forehead and made me blush, after that he left and I was alone again. It felt really weird to be alone again, but when I was watching TV my stomach starts growling, so I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. When I looked in the refrigerator there was almost nothing left so I looked in the freezer and there was also nothing, so I decided to order some food and called the food delivery service. It was now 5 o'cloak in the afternoon and started to miss Shadow so I send him a message.
Phone message conversation
S: Hey Shadow
15 minutes later
Sh: Hi. What's up?
S: I'm out of food so I just ordered some and it's really quiet here without you
Sh: Do you really miss me already? That's nothing like you Sonic
S: Yeah I know. I really have no idea why, but I feel lonely all of a sudden
Sh: Just try to keep yourself busy and I'll be back as soon as possible, OK?
S: OK, thanks a lot Shad. See'ya later then

After waiting for 10 more minutes there was a knock on my door so I went to open it and there was someone from the food delivery service "Is this the house of Sonic the Hedgehog?" the deliverer asked and I nodded, then he gave me a bag with the food I ordered. I gave him the money with a little tip and closed the door and went back to the couch in the living room and sat down while I started eating.

Normal pov
While Sonic was all alone at home Shadow went to Tails without Sonic knowing. When Shadow came to the fox's house he knocked on the door and waited for the door to be answered and after a few seconds Mephiles opened the door and let him in. "You're late. But I'm glad you could make it. Does Sonic know about this?" the fox asked and the black and red streaked hedgehog shook his head and sat on the couch where everyone else was waiting for him to come. "So how did the training go?" Tails asked out of curiosity "He did quite well" Shadow answered "And what about the test? You told me you would test him. On what exactly?" Tails asked "I was going to test him on how much he had improved after the training, but when I did that he turned dark again so I had to stop him by turning super" Shadow said and everyone looked surprised. "OK, but we are here for something else, right?" Amy said "Yes we are and as we all know our blue friend's birthday is coming and we are going to throw him a surprise party" Rouge said and the rest was nodding there head "We already got his birthday present and the decorations, but we need a distraction so that he isn't home when we are going to decorate his house" Blaze said and everyone looked at Shadow "Why is everyone looking at me like that?" he asked "You are going to take Sonic out to somewhere far from his house so we can decorate it. We will send you a message when we are done and then you can take him back home. OK?" Tails asked and Shadow nodded. They were taking a break when Shadow's phone lit up, it was a message from Sonic and he said he was feeling a bit lonely and missed him already. He answered the messages and then the break was over, so they were continuing the planning of Sonic's birthday party. It was now 8 o'cloak in the evening and everything was done, so they all went home and Shadow went back to the blue hedgehog's house. When he went into the house he saw the blue blur sleeping on the couch with the TV still on, so he walked to the couch and took the remote control and turned it off. He looked down at the sleeping hedgehog and smiled, he slowly shook him with his hand to wake him up "What's going on? Huh . . . ? Oh hi (yawns) Shad. You're back. I didn't hear you coming" the blue hedgehog said and rubbed his eyes with his hand and yawned again. "What time is it?" he asked "It's time for you to go to bed" Shadow said and took Sonic in his arms and carried him to his bedroom and laid him down on his bed, then covered him with a nice and warm blanket "Sleep well Sonic" Shadow said and kissed his cheek. Sonic blushed at this and then yawned "Good night Shadow" he said and then he closed his eyes and fell asleep pretty fast. Shadow walked out of his bedroom and went downstairs to get himself something to eat when he saw a bag on the counter with his name on it. He took the bag and opened it to see there was still a little bit of food left and went with it to the couch and sat down and started to eat the rest of it. When he was done eating he went upstairs to the spare room he was using and got to bed to sleep, but he was thinking what kind of present he would get for Sonic and then he slowly fell asleep.
