Chapter Thirty Nine

Raffy’s mood changes upon entering his cabin. He is beginning to regret his decision to take over their business.  He never anticipates that he would still have this encounter with Felicity and worst is, it will be impossible for him to avoid her as the ship is not big enough for him to escape from her.  Felicity now occupies his mind and he only came back into his senses when his phone vibrates for Athena’s message.  He quickly took his laptop and goes online to talk to Athena.

“Naistorbo ba kita?” Athena asked

“Of course not, kahit kelan hindi ka istorbo para sa akin” Raffy replied

“Dati kasi in less than five minutes after my message, on-line ka na”  Athena said

“I’m sorry. Alfonso and I were having our dinner when I received your message.  Medyo hassle lang pabalik dito sa cabin kasi nasa third level eh” Raffy explained

“No, I am the one who should apologize.  I guess I have to start getting used to basic again.  The signal is intermittent and you will be busy at work” Athena said pouting

“Your majesty wala pa akong twenty four hours nandito ganyan ka na, kaya naman natin ‘to di ba?” Raffy reminded Athena

“Yes of course, nami-miss lang kasi kita, dapat talaga sanayin ko na ang sarili ko na mag-isa na ulit ako dito sa apartment” Athena sadly replied

“I miss you more your majesty” Raffy said and he blew a huge sigh “Cheer-up na please, I love you Athena Rose Reyes” he added then tears streams down Athena’s face, tears that she has been holding back because she does not want Raffy to worry about her.

“I love you too my knight in shinning armour” Athena replied smiling while wipping her tears away.  “Don’t mind me, naninibago lang ako kasi for almost three months ikaw ang kasama ko dito sa apartment tapos ngayon mag-isa na ulit ako, sobrang nami-miss lang talaga kita, besides ganito rin ako on my first few weeks here.  Remember pati ikaw naiistorbo kasi naghahanap talaga ako lagi ng kausap that time” she said and tried so hard to smile.

Raffy releases another huge sigh. Crying Athena is the sight that he hates seeing. He wanted to run to her and her hug and tell her that everything is going to be alright.  “Remember what I told you, if you feel alone just call me” he said

“I did but I can’t get through at first, that’s why I just send a message”  Athena said

“Mahina kasi ang signal sa kitchen were Alfonso and I had dinner earlier, mabuti na lang pumasok yung message mo, that’s why I rush here in my cabin so I could go on-line” Raffy said

“How are you Raphael?” Athena asked. 

“I want to go to Germany because I miss my princess Athena a lot. Bumaba ba kaya ako?” Raffy replied

“Ooooyyyyy, baka magalit si Tito Mario” Athena exclaimed

“You know how much I hate to see you cry and hindi na rin ako sanay nang hindi ikaw ang una kong nakikita in the morning, this is definitely tough your majesty” Raffy said

“Yes it is” Athena briefly replied.   “Kwentuhan mo na lang ako” she asked Raffy to at least lessen her saddness.

“What do you want me to tell you? I just arrived a couple of hours ago, and I told you earlier na bukas pa ang start ng work ko. Ikaw kaya ang magkwento, kamusta ang araw mo?” Raffy asked in return

“Well, medyo mababaw ang tulog ko ngayon, kasi baka hindi ako magising, you know, wala ka eh, walang gigising sa akin. Sa sobrang babaw, nauna pa akong nagising sa alarm ko” Athena said smiling while Raffy is stock in staring at her.  “I went back straight home after school because I need to do the laundry, baka magalit ka kasi kapag napuno na ang laundry bin” she continues and Raffy smiles upon learning that Athena follows his list of her things to remember

“Are you done with the laundry?”  Raffy asked

“Yes, nakapaglinis na rin ako ng room ko, I already change the sheets”  Athena replied

“Wow, I’m so proud of you your majesty." Raffy commended her  "What are you having for dinner?” he asked

“Maybe grilled cheese sandwich and vegetable salad” Athena replied

“Bakit yun lang?” Raffy asked.  “Dinner na kasi, ayokong kumain ng marami” Athena replied

“At least have some fruits too” Raffy replied

“Ok, may apple pa naman sa ref”  Athena replied.  “How about you Raphael, what did you had for dinner?” she asked.  

“Steak” Raffy replied

“Grabe ang heavy naman nun, is it good?” Athena casually asked

“It is one of the best steak I ever had in my life, Alfonso is right, magaling talaga si Cassandra” Raffy replied

“And who is Cassandra, if I may ask?” Athena seriously asked

“Our resident Chef, bago lang impressive daw sabi ni Alfonso so I tried and true enough she is really good” Raffy replied

“Is she pretty?” Athena asked. 

“Are you jealous?” Raffy asked in return

“Depends, if she is pretty” Athena honestly replied.

“I think she is, I haven’t met her. Though we had our dinner sa kitchen, we did not went inside it dun lang kami ni Alfonso sa dinning table na nasa loob ng kitchen where most of the employees dine” Raffy replied

“Ok, next time na lang, tell me if she is pretty when you get to meet her”  Athena said

“Ok, I’ll ask Cassie for a selfie then I will show it to you so that you can judge if she is pretty or not” Raffy said. 

“Tigilan mo nga yang pa-selfie na yan also akala ko ba hindi mo pa nami-meet bakit parang nickname basis na kayo?” Athena begins to sound irritable so Raffy decided to tease her more. 

“That’s how Alfonso calls her.  I find her nickname cute siguro kasing pretty nya yung name nya” he continues teasing. “Besides, wala namang malisya yung selfie” he added

“Sa’yo walang malisya pero sa akin meron, subukan mo lang lapitan yang Cassandra na yan hindi na talaga kita kakausapin kahit kailan” Athena straighly said

“Whhoooaaaa .. teka lang naman, hindi naman pwedeng hindi ko kausapin yun.  She is our resident chef, hindi pwedeng hindi ko sya kausapin.  That’s part of my job” Raffy explained while Athena raises her eyebrow and pouted.  “Wag mo nang pagselosan, kasi wala namang dapat ipagselos.  I am not interested with any other girls. Ikaw lang sapat na” Raffy said to appease the princess.

“Tutoo?” Athena asked.  

“Did I ever lie to you your majesty?”  Raffy asked in return

“How many girls do you have around” Athena asked. 

“A lot” Raffy honestly replied and Athena starts pouting again. “But I don’t like any of them, masyado akong busy to at least give them a glance” he said

“Excuse me, how can you be busy if your work will only start tomorrow?”  Athena asked

“I am busy thinking about you your majesty” Raffy sweetly replied and he smiles widely as he sees glow in Athena’s eyes.
