Chapter Twenty Two

Raffy gets too bothered after his talk with his Mom. He sees her point but what he is not certain is if he is ready to leave her majesty alone. He is also not sure how Athena will take it once he opens up this topic to her.

As much as possible he wants to stay with Athena, he is not comfortable with the thought that Athena lives by herself alone with the struggles and challenges in her studies. He wants to help her by assisting her at least with some of her chores. But if he choose to be objective, his mother has every inch of a point.

Athena is already at home when he arrives from the grocery store. He sees happiness in her, as soon as she sees him, she runs to him for a hug.

"Why did you not tell me that you'll do the grocery sana duon na lang kita pinuntahan akala ko kung saan ka na nagpunta" Athena said.

"You did not tell me that you'll be home early" Raffy said and kisses Athena on her temple since he could not hug her back because of the groceries that he is carrying.

"I miss you" Athena said

"I miss you more your majesty but please let me put these stuffs in the kitchen so that I could properly hug you back" Athena smiles and pulls off from her hug then Raffy quickly puts the groceries in the kitchen and hurriedly went back to the living room

"Where are we again?" he asked smiling Athena extended her arms and replied

"As fas as I remember, we are in the part that you will hug me back" she replied then Raffy walks towards her for an embrace.

"I planned to surprise you pa naman with Tita Dei's beef sinigang kaso ang aga mo namang umuwi" Raffy said and Athena got surprise "You know how to do that also just like the pesto pasta?" Athena asked

"As well as the tinola and the creamy potato soup and the chicken cordon bleau. For so many years na tumatambay ako sa bahay nyo, I made sure to know your favorites and asked Tita Dei to teach me how to cook it" Raffy replied

"That is sweet, how about Ate's favorite, have you asked Mom as well how to prepare those?" Athena asked

"Your Ate eats everything that will be served to her unlike you na sobrang pihikan" Raffy replied

"Then pwede na sigurong bumitaw sa hug para makapag start ka nang gawin ang dinner natin, excited na ako" Athena said smiling

"Five more minutes, madali lang namang lutuin yun eh. I already cooked the beef while I was in my on-line class" Raffy explained and Athena just lets them stay that way.

"I miss this hug, my knight and shinning armour. Kanina lang tayo nag hug pero nami-miss ko pa rin" Athena said.

"Lalo na ako" Raffy replied and tightly hugs Athena. A hug that could give a little comfort from the worries he has that triggers after his talk to his Mom.

After a while Raffy started preparing their dinner while Athena works on some stuffs for her school then they had dinner after an hour.

"How's school?" Raffy asked Athena while he sits on the kitchen stool and watches Athena wash the dishes.

"Pahirap nang pahirap" she replied smiling "But I can manage, infact I am enjoying it" she said

"Are you sure? Uwi ka na lang kaya sa Manila" Raffy suggested

"Seems like you are the one who wants to go back to Manila" Athena said smiling while wiping her hand

"O bakit napunta sa akin ang usapan? Nagtatanong lang naman ako eh" Raffy asked
