Chapter Sixty Six

Raffy froze at where he is standing when Athena jumps up to him for a hug. He just makes sure that he protects her from falling while ensuring that everyone around them would not put malice into what they are witnessing. He has been missing his girl so much but this is not the right venue to show her how much he missed her.

"Athena Rose" he hears Dei Reyes exclaimed at her daughter Athena, with fierce eyes.

"Gusto rin ni Tita Liza ng mahigpit na hug Athena" Liza said to save their children from embarrassment. Raffy carefully help Athena down and Liza walks towards her for a tight hug. Lucas made the necessary introduction among his guest, especially the Sandovals whom they meet for the first time to divert his guests' attention.

"Thank you for the invitation Lucas. You actually do me a favor because Raniel and Felicity has been bugging me for days already because of their boredom, apparently they don't want to spend Christmas in Japan" Mario said to support Lucas in diverting everyone's attention that was slightly stolen by Athena and Raffy. "It is Tristan's idea, he wanted to surprise his fiancée" Lucas Legaspi replied

"Anyway, let me introduce to you my family" Mario told Efraim Sandoval "This is my wife Liza, our eldest son Randel, Raniel is our second son and this is his wife Hazel, that young man over there is our youngest son Raffy, he is the reason why we flew here in New York, he is Charmaine's best friend" he further said and gently pulls Felicity to be introduced "This is Felicity, she is my only daughter" Felicity saw that huge smile from her three brothers because this is the first time that she is finally introduced as member of the Villena Family. Tears are forming in her eyes but she is trying so hard not to let it fall as she does not want to create a scene in such a happy occasion.

"Since we are all here, maybe we could have our dinner, the buffet table is set. Let's enjoy our dinner." Lucas Villena announced.

"I did not like what you just did Athena Rose. It's very embarrassing" Dei reprimanded Athena

"I'm sorry Mom, natuwa lang naman nung nakita ko sa Raffy" Athena said

"Ganon ka na ba matuwa ngayon? Dumadamba ka? Nakakahiya sa buong pamilya ni Raffy. Ang Ate mo ang kaibigan pero ikaw ang umasta ng hindi tama. Not because we allow you to live on your own, it would mean that you can forget the right demeanor. You are beginning to disappoint me" Dei continues ranting.

"I'm sorry Mom, I won't do it again" Athena apologizes

"Forget about it sweetie, your Mom and I believes that you did not do it on purpose. Just be careful next time, hindi kasi magandang tingnan kahit kaibigan mo lang si Raffy" Richard told Athena with emphasis on the statement that Raffy is just her friend

"Yes Dad, I understand" Athena replied heads down as she realized how awkward her gesture was earlier. Raffy was quick to rescue as he senses Athena's disappointment to herself

"I'm sorry for what Athena did Raffy, Nakakahiya sa Mommy at Daddy mo" Dei immediately apologizes to Raffy.

"Ok lang po yun Tita Dei, wala pong kaso yun. Namiss rin namin si Athena, look at my Mom, she is very happy to see her" Raffy explained

"Pwede bang samahan mo muna si Athena sa buffet table Raphael? Lunch pa yung huling kain nya, she did not join us during snacktime kasi nagkulong lang sa kwarto. Then join Charmaine and Tristan sa lanai with the rest of the kids" Richard said

"Sige po Tito Richard ako na po ang bahala" Raffy replied and hold Athena's hand as they walk towards the buffet table.

"Thank you Raphael" Richard said and quickly turned to Dei as soon as Raffy and Athena left "Hindi komo sinabi kong maganda ka kahit nakasimangot eh makakasanayan mo nang magsimangot" he told Dei and pokes her nose

"Was I rude to her?" Dei asked.

"A little" Richard replied

"Nakakahiya kasi, buong pamilya ni Raffy and Tristan ang nandito, kasama pa sila Efraim. I accept that she misses him but what she did is not right" Dei explained

"I know your highness and I understand where you are coming from but can we just let this pass? Anyway, Athena already apologizes. New Year's gift na natin sa mahal na prinsesa. Did you see how her eyes gleams when he sees Raphael, akala ko sa loob na lang ng kwarto mababagong taon ang bunsong babae natin" Richard said.

"Alright, I just hope she won't do it again" Dei said and releases a deep sigh

"I am certain that she won't. Saka mana lang sa yo si Athena kapag natutuwa. Ikaw nga pag uwi ko galing out of town trip, dinadamba mo rin ako sabay hubad" Richard teases

"Sssshhhh ... ang ingay ah ... saka iba tayo kesa sa kanila, asawa kita kaya pwede kong gawin yun sa yo" Dei said defending herself.

"At hanggang ngayon, napapakilig mo pa rin ako kapag ginagawa mo yun" Richard said

"Alam mo ikaw Richard Reyes Jr. you are almost in your golden year, and yet maharot ka pa rin" Dei said giggling.

"With a wife like you, mahirap maubos ang harot" Richard replied

"Sira ka talaga, baka may makarinig sa yo, nakakahiya" Dei said ang continue giggling

"Oh eh di it's a tie na kayo ni Athena, like mother like daughter na" he teases

"Tama na yan, let's enjoy the rest of the year. Konti na lang bagong taon na." Dei said

"Yeah, bagong taon na, madadagdagan na naman ang taon na kasama kita. And I am looking forward for more years of being with you my queen" Richard sweetly said

"Likewise, your highness" Dei replied

Meanwhile, Raffy is consoling Athena while they are getting their food

"Ngayon na lang uli tayo nagkita, ang lungkot lungkot pa ng mahal na prinsesa" Raffy said "Are you not happy to see me your majesty?"

"Nakakahiya ba talaga yung ginawa ko? I want an honest answer Raphael" Athena asked

"Well maybe yes for those who do not know that we are into a relationship" Raffy replied

"I cannot blame Mom for being upset" Athena sadly said

"Did you know that you made me very happy your highness? I did not expect that you miss me that much" Raffy said

"Kasi naman hindi ka na nagparamdam after that good morning viber message, you were already out of reach" Athena said

"We got too busy wrapping the gifts, I did not noticed that my mobile battery got drained" Raffy replied

"Ok na yan, nandito ka naman na eh" Athena sweetly said

"I am actually a bit disappointed with you" Raffy said

"Sabi ko na nga ba eh I make you disappointed because of what I did" Athena said

"No I was disappointed because of what you did not do" Raffy said

"And what does it suppose to mean?" Athena said

"I was expecting a kiss on my lips, just like what you use to do in Germany" Raffy sweetly whispered. Athena's eyes widen and Raffy was quick to hold her hand as she is about to gave him a pinch. "Haarrrroootttt" Athena softly said

"I love you Athena Rose" Raffy whispered to her again

"I love you too, my knight in shinning armour" Athena whispered back.
