Midoriya stood up with groan. Landing against a block of ice isn't exactly fun. He tried to observe the boy more, but his vision was still pretty blurry due to the impact. Midoriya felt slightly intimidated, but decided to thank the boy. After all, he did save him. Before he could say a single word though, he noticed that the boy was already turning around to walk away.
Ah, he's probably wearing earphones. I'll thank him if I ever see him again.
Midoriya waited a few minutes for his vision to become clear again before making his way into the building. During the opening ceremony, he was able to meet up with a girl he met during the test. Uraraka was a cheerful girl who could make anyone smile in a second. After fanboying over some speeches and teachers, they talked a bit for a while before getting interrupted by both Bakugou, and a boy who introduced himself as Tenya Iida.
After the ceremony was over, it was time for everyone to leave. On the way out, Uraraka invited some people to hang out at a near cafe. Midoriya tagged along after texting his mother about it of course. He wouldn't want to worry his mother, Inko. When they got there, Midoriya glanced around at the scenery. It was a medium sized cafe with brown walls and autumn colored features and accessories. Basically, it was beautiful. Midoriya could've sworn that he even saw a girl named Mina shed a tear. As everyone got in line to place their order, Midoriya rolled up his left sleeve a bit to glance at his tattoo.
Still there...
Midoriya sighed in both relief and disappointment. He was always interested in meeting his soulmate, but at the same time he was slightly nervous about it. What if he didn't like his soulmate? What if he wouldn't meet his soulmate for another twenty years? What if his soulmate didn't like him? A voice suddenly brought him out of his thoughts. "Deku, it's your turn," Uraraka said tapping his shoulder. She was right, the person standing at the counter was probably waiting for him for a bit now. He turned around to face the person who was standing behind the counter. When he first saw this person, he had an interesting feeling. After a second of looking at the person, he realized that the person in front of him was the same boy who helped him earlier. Midoriya blinked and widened his eyes. His eyes darted to the name tag, and he let out a light gasp.
That's right, I've seen him before during the test. If I'm correct, he is the son of the famous hero, Endeavor! How did I not remember him after seeing a blurry version of him? Ah, I mustn't keep him waiting, I'll thank him after I order.
"S-sorry about that! Um, may I please get a small chai tea?" Midoriya asked while nervously rubbing his neck. He wanted to know why the son of Endeavor was working at a cafe like this. Todoroki seemed tired, most likely due to the long opening ceremony that occurred earlier. He clicked the computer screen a couple times before looking back at Midoriya.
"Ice?" he asked with a deadpan expression.
"Ah, no thank you! Uh, also, I'd like to thank you for helping me out earlier when I fell. I guess I can be pretty clumsy sometimes hehe."
"Huh...? Oh. Yeah, no problem. Your order will be ready soon."
Midoriya walked over to the table where everyone was sitting, completely unaware that his tattoo had disappeared.
