Chapter 17: Skin

"Can you still find it?" Bridget asked.

"There is obviously some angel warding." Castiel replied.

"What's angel warding?" Caroline asked.

"It keeps out angels." Castiel replied.

"Cas, remember how some of the symbols weakened you? If he's that good he's going to have them." Dean said.

"Good call." Sam replied.

"Is the base TARDIS proofed?" Bridget asked.

"I'll have to see." The Doctor replied.

"I'll come with you." Clara said, following the Doctor inside the TARDIS.

"You're saying that people can prevent him from landing?" Elena asked.

"If you were to stop him, the device would have to be big." Bridget replied. "Like a third of a room big."

"Well I've never seen tiny base." Damon said.

"Point made there." John agreed.

"Based on the circumstances, I doubt just walking into the base would be a good idea." Sherlock advised.

"So what if you can can get a disguise?" Bridget asked.

"Or a decoy." Sam said, getting an idea.

"Who could possibly be your decoy?" Clara asked.

"We know a guy that can swing it." Dean said. ***

"Ah, yes the older brother." The Primer said. "We've been expecting you two Hunters."

"Good for you. Where is the last one?"

"She's in a nice place. Go and ask my colleagues." He smiled. "Good luck."

"Consider me lucky." He clicked his gun. "Where?"

"Guess you'll never know." The Primer said, stabbing him with a kitchen knife. He turned to leave, satisfied. "Good day, Dean Winchester."

"Yeah that's the thing," He said, pulling the knife out. "Not Dean. Good day, Primer."

He touched the Primer and took his form. He made his way down the dim passageway.

"Behind you!" Caroline shouted.

"Hold on. If he was a Primer then why isn't he here with more Primers? Primers would alert each other about this." Bridget observed.

"She's good." He said with a smile as he turned into his true shape.

"Did he just change his shape?" Elena asked.

"You must be... David." Bridget guessed.

"That's correct. I'm a shapeshifter." David replied.

"How's Chicago?" Sam asked playfully.

"Ah, your decoy." Sherlock said.

"Is that him?" David asked.

"Sherlock Holmes." Sherlock held out his hand.

"David." David shook his hand. "I found her."

"Awesome." Dean replied.

"Thanks, David." Sam said.

"You know, it does feel nice," David said. "saving the world." ***

"Hey, guys. Is this angel warding?" Bridget asked.

"Good eye." Sam replied, crossing it out with a red "X".

Entering the building, they crossed out every angel warding they saw. They found a corner where they couldn't be seen where Dean prayed.

"Hello, Dean." Castiel greeted him with a smile.

"Here guys." Bridget said, breaking the salt line. Sam jumped and the Winchesters went to stop her.

"Thanks." Elena said, entering.

"Not many people know about salt."

"Salt? With vamps?" Sam asked awkwardly.

"Yeah, it can keep us out," Elena explained. "as not inviting us in can."

"How can you guys be in here if they didn't invite you in? This building is owned."

"They want us in here." Damon concluded.

Author's note: yes, we don't know a lot about David, but he was the only friendly shifter I know. Is Bloodlines going to happen or not?,
