Chapter 15: The Black conflict
"On the count of three," Sam said. "One, two..."
Sam and Dean kicked opened the door, sending bits of wood flying. Backs against the wall, Sam and Dean walked into the building. Bridget had her angel blade and she mimicked Sam and Dean.
"There!" Castiel shouted, as a demon charged at them.
"Oh God!" Bridget froze as the black-eyed man came at her. She threw her angel blade out in front of her and it hit the demon's heart. The demon hit the ground with a thud.
"What was that?!?" Dean asked.
"Freaked out, terrified, numb-minded defensive fangirl reaction?" Bridget replied.
"You hit it directly in the heart! What if someone sees this?" Clara asked nervously.
"We'll move it." Bridget replied.
"Where did you learn like that?" Damon asked.
"Fear." Bridget replied.
"Death changes you. You may or may not see it, but there's a darkness. Sometimes it's frightening." The Doctor said.
"Before you hit the next one, I suggest you interrogate it first." Sherlock said.
"Or offer them a drink." Dean said, shaking the holy water and putting it in his jacket.
"Do you carry that everywhere?" Caroline asked.
"As naturally as carrying a few aliases." Dean replied with a wink.
"Multiple aliases?" Clara asked.
"Multiple ID cards with several names..." Dean answered.
"Like the one you gave me. I still have it." Castiel said.
"You should see what the Doctor has." Bridget said.
"Oh, yeah." Clara said. "They'd love it."
"What's so physic about a blank sheet of paper?" Dean asked.
Bridget looked at Dean with shock. Sam and Clara exchanged glances.
"Dean," Bridget asked. "you're a WHOVIAN?"
"A what?" Dean asked, looking at Sam, then Bridget.
"A fan. Like me." Bridget explained.
"Of...?"
Bridget smiled big and shook her head. She looked at the Doctor and Clara, then back at him. She smiled again.
"You watch it, don't you?" Bridget asked him.
"I don't..."
"Awww." Bridget chuckled. "Dean, you're cuter in person."
"Psychic paper like..." He went into his coat and pulled out a black leather ID case. "this?"
"Did that just change?" John asked.
"Brilliant, I know." The Doctor said with a smile. "Psychic paper, it shows you what you want it to."
"Awesome." Dean said. "Now about the demon..."
"No need." The Doctor replied, putting a hand to his forehead. He placed a hand against the wall. Bridget untied her braid nervously as the Doctor received head pains.
"Doctor!" Clara ran over to him. "Doctor, what's happening to you?"
"Are you alright, Doctor?" John asked. "Yes, of course." He winced.
"It looks like he's having a vision." Dean said.
"Yeah, visions* don't feel too great." Sam said.
The Doctor's mind flashed to a blonde woman with hair slanted down at the bottom of her ears. She had lipstick on and she was dressed in a business suit. Her heels clopped along the pavement as she entered a building with a sign that read Dyad Institute*. He could see it was a lab. There was a picture on the screen she sat down in front of herself with long brown hair. The name at the bottom of the screen was Sarah Manning.*
"Have you found her yet?" She spoke with a British accent.
"No, Ms. Duncan." The man replied, stepping into the light. "I'm here for you."
"Who the hell are you?" She clicked her gun.
"I am one coming from many. We all proudly serve Monahan." The man had a black hood. "Three." He whispered as he wrote another tally mark on his arm, making seven. He took out a knife and he killed her. ***
"We were right." Sam said, as the Doctor opened his eyes.
"There is going to be a total of ten sacrifices." The Doctor said. "Three more- two more and they succeed."
"You guys felt that, right?" Bridget asked.
The ground trembled under Bridget's feet. The ground trembled again, more violent, knocking down a street lamp, sparks raining down. A large piece of rumble came down, Bridget dodging it, creating a dust cloud. Everyone's heart leapt, even the hearts that don't beat.
"I'm good." Bridget said, standing up. Her golden blonde hair was covered in dirt.
"Thank heavens!" And Clara hugged her.
*Dyad Institute is the lab responsible for clones. They had done illegal experiments and had patented the clones they made, therefore making them their property instead of free human beings. The Dyad Institute also made people monitor the clones, (a friend, ect) and report back to them.
*Sarah Manning is the main character who finds out that she is a clone. Since the end of season one, she has been on the run from the Dyad Institute.
