Chapter 11: The Overzealous
"Primer Society?" Sam asked.
"Or dash P.S." Dean said.
"That's what it says." The Doctor
replied.
"And what is that?" Caroline asked, pointing to the sky.
"That is the universe collapsing." The Doctor answered.
"What happens when you're in a collapsing universe?" John asked.
"To you? Nothing." The Doctor answered.
"What can happen when universes collapse?" Clara asked.
"You could go to one dimension to the next and you wouldn't need a TARDIS or a Vortex Manipulator to do it."
"So what exactly did the Primer Society do?" Sam asked.
"Think of a wall of bricks stacked on top of each other without anything in between. There are sometimes cracks in between the bricks and the Primer Society found a way to open those cracks enough so that the wall crumbled down. Or if we're lucky, just enough to get through." The Doctor explained.
"If you had a device like a TARDIS, it would be a easier to do so, wouldn't it?" Castiel asked.
"Doctor, we should find the TARDIS before they do!" Clara exclaimed.
"Multi-dimensional, triple-encoded temporal interface. Not even lock picking would work."
"It's dark out now and I know how easy it is to do something in the dark and get away with it." Caroline said.
"Okay. Let's find her." The Doctor said, reaching into his pocket for his TARDIS key. "Before we crashed, I programmed her to let me now if she's there through the key. If we're in the same place, it should glow."
"Does it hurt?" Sam asked.
"Occasionally." The Doctor answered.
"There you are, you glowing beauty."
"Woah!" Dean exclaimed. "What the hell just happened?"
"What was that?" Elena asked nervously. "It sounded like someone blowing in."
"Remember what I told you about the walls?" The Doctor asked.
"Someone or something just came in, didn't they?" Damon asked.
The back of the studio was lit now with two lights. Down the alley, there was just the golden light that had bounced off. There was a few gusts of wind like something had blown in again. There was a faint blue light that got brighter.
"Your mobiles aren't out, right?" Clara asked.
"Your what?" Dean asked.
"Phones." Sam replied. "Mine's in my pocket." Sam answered as someone tumbled out of nowhere.
"Dean!" Castiel shouted as he looked at Castiel, who could see his true face, and then headed towards Dean.
"Winchesters." The man said, smiling. He blinked and his eyes turned pitch black.
"What is that?" Clara asked shakily.
"Demon." Dean answered, standing next to her protectively.
Dean and Castiel got out their Angel Blades, a silvery blade and the only metal that can harm an angel that can also kill demons. Sam got out his Demon Knife.
"No." Clara whispered. She wasn't looking at the demon, she was looking at something that had a blue light.
"What?" Dean asked, holding his Angel Blade out in front of him.
"Doctor, if that blue light isn't anyone's mobile, that what do you think it's from?" Clara asked, fearfully.
"Oh, God." Sam said.
The blue light faded like a headlight fading out of high beam. It came from the center as a stalk could be seen. Two more came out from behind it. Their bronze-like outsides reflected the street lamps.
"Daleks." Clara, the Doctor and Sam breathed.
"The Doctor! The Doctor must be exTERMinated!" The center Dalek exclaimed as the back studio door opened and closed.
"Oh... my... God!" A girl's voice breathed.
She was wearing a plaid shirt with a white tank top underneath and jeans. She was wearing three pins on her shirt and a familiar golden necklace fastened by a black string. She looked at them with both excitement and embarrassment. Sam could make out a white pin with a demon protection symbol on it.
"Dean, is that your amulet?" Sam asked with confusion.
"They're in character!" The girl whispered to herself. "Sorry Jared, I'm... leav-" She jumped behind the cement steps just in time to avoid the Dalek's blue lazed beam. She looked up to see the metal guide rail blown off.
"I said that." Sherlock said to himself, looking at her "I'm not a psychopath I'm a high-functioning sociopath" pin.
"Not in character... they're not in character 'cause they are real and not fictional characters." The girl backed up from the Daleks awkwardly and looked at the confused crowd.
"What's your name?" Sherlock interrogated. "And why did you think we're fictional?"
"Bridget. I'm... Bridget." She stammered. "You're all awesome."
"Are you alright?" The Doctor asked.
"You're... the Doctor! Oh my God! Not a doctor, THE Doctor, oh! Bow ties are cool!" Bridget breathed. She walked over to Castiel.
"Well yes they are." The Doctor replied, straightening his bow tie with a smile.
"And you're Castiel, angel of The Lord, it's an honor, I'm glad you've gotten your grace back-"
"You shall be exterMInaTED!" The left Dalek shouted angrily.
"Here's the fun part." The Doctor said to Bridget.
"Daleks are not fun! They're merciless bastards from Skaro who you fought in the Time-!" She paused and her eyes out up. "You mean... the TARDIS?"
"And... RUN!"
