Chapter 2

Allura watched as the paladins quickly piled up in front of her.

However 1 of them were missing

" LANCE WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG !!!! YOURE GOING TO RUIN OUR MISSION !!!!! "

After what seemed like a vaga, Lance came into the room. He looked like he had been hit by a bus. His hair was everywhere, his face flushed and his walk ....... sloppy ?? Like he fell down and hurt his butt ??

" What happened to you Lance ??

Keith looked over to her with a bright smug face laughing a bit " Oh he ran around the corner to fast and hit his butt~ Right Lance ~~? " Allura tilted her head in confusement shaking her head a bit pulling up a couple of images

" Well Lance you better get yourself ready !! You're going on a mission ! "
She smiled widely sending her screens up to enlarge them

" We have to find information about these ships. Recently they're behavior has been .... off lately. I'm not sure why but we must find out. I believe that there is a new leader in the Galra Empire. But to be able to find this out we need someone that can go in and out carefully. I was going to send you Keith but you're to valuable. We need you here to stay on Lance's camera that we've placed hidden in his helmet. You need to be able to communicate with him to be able to look around. Pidge and Hunk, we need both of you be able to watch with Keith. If Lance is stuck in a room or needs help with something electric. Shiro. Me and you need to have a little talk so we'll do that in a bit. Alright team ? "

The others nodded quickly running off to get into position. Lance turned on his heel and tried to run to his room to fix his hair falling quickly getting a huge pain in his butt rolling on his back slightly " U-uggHhhh- Dangit Keith !!! "

A small giggle came from the front of the room as Lance stood back up and got to his room " Ouch- " He looked at himself in the mirror and quickly brushed his hair to the side making a small smirk " Why hello there gorgeous ~ "

As the others got in their positions Allura took Shiro to another room looking at him a bit a light blush  going over her face " Okay okay tell me Shiro. What exactly is happening between Keith and Lance ?? I don't ?? Understand ?? "

-Meanwhile-

As Lance walked back into the room he looked around sitting down on his boyfriends lap watching him work

" Soooo~ About last night- "

" Don't speak about that night Lance. We need to keep it down don't let the others know. Come on Lance get off "

Lance stared in shock at his boyfriend getting off him blinking slightly
" U-uh y-yea okay "

He walked over to the couch shaking his head a bit quickly walking out putting his helmet on running into Blues hanger waiting as she lowered her head down so he can enter running in quickly putting his hands over his eyes

" I-I knew it... i-i knew t-this was a f-fake.. G-god lance!!!.. y-you told y-yourself you w-wouldnt f-fall for it a-again.. "

After a while of him trying to keep the tears in he got a call from the castle. He wiped away his tears and cleared his throat bringing up a big smile
" Hey Allura !! I'm ready as I'll ever be so let's get started shall we ! "

Allura gave him a concerned look as she noticed his eyes seemed a little red ?

" Oh ?? Alright Lance ? Move your helmet a bit to the left and then the right just to make sure the camera is working "

As he did what he was told allura nodded in approval giving him a big smile " Alright Lance you're good to go !! Go on Lance !! And remember !!! DO. NOT. ENGAGE. "

He nodded and took off on his lion quickly. After a couple of ticks, he was at one of the big galra ships. He slowed his movement and looked around. " Nothing seems different from out here ?? "

He slowly approached the floating ship not noticing any .... life. For example, some planets have no life so it doesn't do anything. It's just ... there.

That's what the ship looked like

" Allura I don't think this is a good idea "

" Nonsense Lance !! You'll be fine. Carry on and do not engage "

He felt himself start to sweat slightly slowly bringing himself to keep going. He crept over to a little hangar slowly parking his lion.

After getting out of the lion he looked around the base still not noticing a single sentry or a guard anywhere. He scratched his helmet a bit quickly laughing softly to himself as he realized that it wasn't his hair he was scratching.

" See allura ! I told you there was no one he- "

At almost a snap, the cams went off. All communication with had ended and all they could see was a blurry screen full of nothing.

" .....Lance.....? " (Keith)

As the team watched in confusion and in fear they quickly sprung into action. Allura and coran tried to find out what in the flippity flappity just happened while the others tried to wrap their heads around everything.

" All communication is down Coran !! Try to ----------- "
" On it princess !! I'll -------- "

All of the voices that were being yelled at around the room became blurry for him.

He had just got his boyfriend back.
He almost lost him once.
He was not going to lose him again.

Keith quickly walked over to the main communication center pushing away the panicking adults. He put his hand on the buttons quickly pressing some he did not know. He wasn't even looking at the keyboard. He just glared at the screen waiting for it to come back on.

Only a couple of seconds later, the camera went on. The comms were not working but they were able to see and hear what was happening on his side.

" Allura ! Keith ! Coran ! Anyone !! Please help me I'm surrounded !! "

The team watched in fear as they could see how their friend was horribly surrounded. He was cornered and he wasn't going to make it.

They watched as a bullet went into their friends abdomen and they heard his horrific fearful scream in pain. They watched as he fell to his knees and took off his helmet. He tossed it to the side not noticing the camera was back on. He held onto his wound tightly coughing up dark crimson blood.

They watched as their dearest Lance. The Lance that always helped when they needed his help.
The Lance they have all learned to love and care for.
Some more than others-
Fall onto the floor on his side a small tear going down his cheek as the soldiers ran to get him say

" K-keith... if I don't m-make it. J-just know t-that... I l-love you... "
