Chapter 36

Eva's POV

"Are you forgetting you are pregnant" Mary said as she walked in the room. I was trying to prepare a bath for myself so I could wash away the sin discreetly

"Unfortunately no" I said turning to her

"Why are you running a bath?" She asked me like she was suspicious

"I felt like one?" I realised with

"How did it go with the general" she asked as she folded her arms. that's when Panicked rushed over me. What is she heard?

"He agreed and said he'd be on it first thing in the morning, now can I please have my bath"

"Eva, you can tell me anything" she said in a Lowe voice and I knew she heard what happened. I tucked my lip in and I turned to her

"I don't know who I am anymore" I whispered. I felt like I was going to cry when I spoke but instead it came out like a dead melody. My throats didn't burn and my eyes felt dry my body knew i wasn't that girl anymore before my mind did. But then again it was my body taking the abuse after all, my mind was the one who escaped

"Let's talk about it, I can get-"

"No, please I'd rather not" I said in a louder yet deader voice "just leave me be for a while, get some towels and a dress for when I'm done" I said to her strictly. I could tell she was taken back slightly but soon left without another word.

Mary's POV

I need to speak to Jai. I knew they both grew distant but I know she needed him more than ever he was the light in her darkness.

I knew they were both in the gardan, I saw them through the window when I heard Eva- I thought maybe she was doing it while watching, building up the passion she was trying to realise with the general. Trying to numb all the pain having lily around caused. Trying to feel what Luke caused her to miss out on

I walked into the gardens and sure enough I found him. They were both sat under a tree, reading together

"Jai I need a private word now" I said with a stern look. He turned to lily and she nodded. He then stood up and we both walked to the fencing which boarded a field in which, if you were lucky, you'd see deer jumping about.

"What is it?" Jai asked slightly worried

"Eva"

"I don't want to sound awful but I have lily and my unborn child now I can't-"

"She's losing herself, look I don't want to give details but she needs you, even if it's just for a second a day, just to remind her of who she is"

"Why what is she doing?"

"She's not the girl she was" I really didn't want to tell him what she was doing. I'm sure she wanted no one to know

"Mary, just tell me" Jai said sternly

I paused and looked down

"She saw the general today, she went in Luke's place and let's just say she got more than friendly with him" I whispered. I saw Jai's eyes widen and soon he hurried off up the garden. I watched him walk off, feeling that maybe I should have left that information out. I turned around to find lily walking up to me

"What happened?" She asked looking worried

"He just needs to speak with someone, nothing to worry about" I said as I turned back to watch Jai storm inside. I was worried

Eva's POV

Mary was taking her time to return so I began to stand out of the bath. Just then Jai came barging though the door. I couldn't tell what expression he had on his face he seemed sad yet mad. I instantly grabbed for a towel on the side to cover myself with, even though it's not like he hasn't seen it before

"Is there something you want to tell me" he said with an harsh tone

"Did Mary speak to you" I asked

"Yes, and what the actual fuck Eva" he breathed. I didn't know why he seemed so angry

"Jai why do you care, it's not like you have even cared recently" I said giving him a harsh glare he stared at me then looked down

"Don't forget who are Eva, you are beautiful and remember every princess goes though hell and back before she gets her happily ever after, good luck with the pregnancy" and before I could say another word he walked out. I ran after him. I wanted more than just that I wanted to know why I had been pushed aside.

I got out the room, barely a towel to cover me when I bumped into Harry. I could tell because he always felt cold

"How did it go with the general" he asked me and I froze thinking maybe he knew, what if Jai would tell him?

"He's giving you his troops" I said as I tried to bury my exposed body from Harry's sick glare. I gulped a little and stepped back. He reached his hand out slow and ran it through my hair softy before yanking it in his grip and forced by head by his mouth

"Lets make the most of that body before you get too fat" he whispered in an disgusting tone and began to drag me
