Mitch's POV
I sighed as I walked into my apartment after a long day at school. Some kids loved college, my parents met in college and had me their senior year so they clearly loved it. But me, I've been suffering. I've been studying pediatrics since my senior year of high school and now I'm in my second year of college.
As I entered my apartment, my phone rang. I turned the screen and chuckled when I saw a photo of my best friend Kirstie sticking her tongue out while wearing clothes like a hippie. She was dressed up for some play and begged for a photo shoot that day.
"Hey babe." I said upon answering my phone. "Hello my lovely, amazingly kind best friend!" Kirstie said excitedly as my smile dropped. "What do you want?" I asked with a sigh as I set my backpack down on the couch and went to the kitchen to get water. "Why would you think I want something?" She asked with a scoff. "Because you only add too much detail when you ask big favors. Is this for drug money?" I asked with a chuckle. "Mitch! I would never take drugs. Unless we're talking some serious shit here. Do you know a guy?" Kirstie joked. "What do you want, weirdo?" I asked with a sigh.
Kirstie took a breath before clearing her throat, "Look, I've got a friend from England here, but I need a place for him to stay. He's going to the same college as you, so I was hoping you'd let him stay. He can pay half your rent." She explained. I crossed one arm over my stomach and sighed, "I want to meet your friend before I let anyone move in with me." I shrugged. "Deal, Starbucks in an hour?" Kirstie offered. "See you then." I said before we both hung up, then I went to take a shower so I wouldn't smell like disgusting college students and my car.
A/N SLOW UPDATES also credit to my friend for the idea. (I agreed to keep their name out of it)
